love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Exodus 34:6-7 (NIV)
FIRST DAY:Read the notes and the references.
1. How did the lecture impact your relationship with God and/or others?
b. What attractions of the world are detracting from your devotion to and love for God?
THIRD DAY:Read Revelation 17:3-6.
6. Describe the woman in this passage and the beast she was riding. (See Revelation 13:1.)
8. How do the glittering or abominable things of the world stand in contrast with the things of God today? To which
are you more drawn, and why? (See Matthew 6:19-21.)
10. What is the difference between the description of the beast in verse Revelation 17:8 and the description of the
Lord God Almighty in Revelation 1:4, 8; and 4:8?
11. a. Why is wisdom required, as stated in verse 9, and from where does this wisdom come?
b. What are you doing to gain wisdom, and how do you apply this wisdom to your life today? What have been
the results?
12. What do these verses say about the unity of Gods enemies? (See also Judges 7:22 and 2 Chronicles 20:22-23.)
13. How do you see Gods sovereignty at work in this passage and in the world today?
14. How does knowing ultimate victory belongs to God help you see through deception, withstand persecution and
proclaim the truth of Jesus Christ?
15. What have you learned about God in this weeks study? How may your group pray for you as you make this truth
a part of your life?
