Guidelines for Internship Report

INTERNSHIP I
Course Code: BBALLBC307

Credit Units: 02

This is a part of practical exposure. The students shall expose themselves to the Law firms/
Courts/Tribunals/Commissions/Legislative
Assemblies/NGOs/State
and
National
Commissions etc. to have a working knowledge also to lean documentation process.
The Internship during the summer break is a compulsory course. There is a Internship Data
form where students fill in the details of where they are interning with complete address and
phone numbers Customized Legal Reference /Diary is provided to the students on payment
They maintain a day to day record of the work that they do at the place they are interning.
They are expected to intern for a minimum 30 days.
They shall submit a diary dully certified by the Head of/Competent Authority where Intern
works. They shall appear for a viva exam.
The Paper is marked out of 100 marks. The breakup of the marks is as follows:

(A) Structure of the Internship Report


1. Cover Page (See Annexure 1)
Must contain following information:

Name of the University


Name of the School
Report Title
Organization/ Firm name
Name of the guide
Period of Internship
Submitted by
Date of submission

Note: Cover page should have a professional appearance with the use of appropriate fonts
and color scheme. Avoid usage of any inappropriate design.
2. Content Table
It must have page number wise list of topics covered in the report. Please ensure to put page
numbers in the report.
3. Colored copy of the internship certificate
A self-attested colored copy of the internship certificate should be mandatorily included in the
report.
4. Acknowledgement
In this page, student shall acknowledge guidance and support of supervisor/ organization
authorities and faculty of the school.
5. Declaration (See Annexure 2)
In the declaration, student shall declare authenticity of the report. Student need to state that
report is also free from any type of plagiarism. This declaration must be signed by the student.
6. Executive Summary
This section will give a brief idea of the report and its contents.
7. List of cases referred
In this part, you may provide a list of legal cases referred with proper citation.

8. List of acronym used


Use this section of the report to provide list of acronym available in the report for convenient
reading.
9. Main body of the report

Introduction
Background of the organization and its organizational structure
Details of the assignments/ problems allotted for analysis during the internship
Research performed and its details
Internship Activity Diary (See Annexure 3) in this section, student shall provide
information of activities performed as routine tasks during the internship. In the chart,
students should mention about their visit to court/ tribunal and key observations. Format
for this will be provided before commencement of internship.

10. Conclusion
Conclusion should contain findings from the internship activity.
11. Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes from various assignments and tasks handled during the internship
12. Reference/ Bibliography
You are required to provide references according to Bluebook citation (19th) format.

III) Submission of the report

Student has to submit both hard copy and soft copy of the report.
Hard copy must be submitted to the concerned faculty in-charge personally.
Soft copy must be sent through email to the faculty in-charge.
Plagiarism is against academic ethical practices; therefore avoid copying any content
from the source verbatim. Also, you are required to give proper references of content
used in the report.

Note: Instructions for the date of submission and email ID will be given through a notice.
