Experiment 1: The Design of AM Radio Receiver

Monday Jan 18th Thursday March 11th [7 weeks]

Week of Jan 18th:

o Hand-in preparation 1.2.
o Assemble the baseband amplifier circuit.
o Demo experimentation 1.3.

Week of Jan 25th:

o Hand-in preparation 2.2.
o Assemble the demodulator circuit.
o Demo experimentation 2.3

Week of Feb 1st:

o Hand-in preparation 3.2.
o Assemble the output stage circuit.
o Demo experimentation 3.3.

Week of Feb 8th:

o Hand-in preparation 4.2.
o Assemble the preamplifier circuit.

Week of Feb 15th:

o Demo experimentation 4.3.

Week of Feb 22nd:

o Hand-in preparation 5.1 & preparation 6.1.
o Connect the complete AM receiver.

Week of Mar 7th:

o Tune to an AM commercial station
o Demo experimentation 5.2 and experimentation 6.2.

Week of Mar 14th at noon on your lab session day:

o Due date for the report on experiment #1 on the My Courses website.

Experiment 2: Op-Amp Design

Monday March 14th Thursday April 14th [5 weeks]
