Engine Assembly, Production Engineering, Facilities and Plant Maintenance, Materials
Management, In-plant and Inter Plant Logistics.
Four Pillars, Safety, Productivity, Quality, & Cost act as our guiding principles and it is the people
who help us maintain the leadership position in the Indian Automobile market. Competition, which
has been the fostered culture in our organization, makes us stronger and helps in sustaining the
leadership position.
It is not just the technical expertise which you shall put into use, but also the analytical skills and
smartness of managing people which shall be tested on a daily basis. It is the highly electrifying need
of the Production Business Vertical which keeps us on our toes always. This set-up will present
different challenges in terms of design versus production constraints, demand versus resources, and
deadline versus quality of job, which will test the technical basics of engineers along with their
ability to optimize resource utilization, and risk mitigation.

3. Engineering Cluster
Engineering Division
Engineering vertical is responsible for design and development of new models for India and other
export countries. The involvement of Engineering in model development cycle starts right from the
concept stage, where based on market survey the basic style and features are frozen.
Planning team lays down the detailed schedule of the project and targets are assigned to different
teams. A design engineer then develops the component design and checks against quality and
performance parameters. High end software platforms are utilized for design, CAE, CFD, and
project management. This enables a development engineer to start working with national and
international suppliers with high technology competence to decide the manufacturing process at an
optimum cost and meeting the quality requirements.
Finally, the testing team undertakes rigorous testing activities to evaluate the performance of the
component at system level and at vehicle level. Their role is critical, as they just not only test the
components/vehicle using instruments, but also conduct subjective analysis to understand the
elements like noise & vibration.
Coming at a very young age, engineers need to hone their technical skills over 2-3 project cycles,
working hands-on, learning the basic and advanced product, material, and manufacturing
technologies. Engineers are exposed to working on new products, and at times teaming up with
Suzuki engineers in Japan. The innovations of the engineers are converted into patents.
Opportunities are provided to present design innovations at international forums, visit Global auto
shows and technology centers to expand their horizons.
The various divisions in the Engineering vertical are:
