Hemispheres Foundation is a social enterprise run by a team of professionals


and volunteers who provide educational programs since 1999 to schools,
community and individuals to promote awareness and informed personal
actions concerning environmental issues.

The dramatic change in our climate pattern is an immediate


concern for our future generations to sustain.
Fixing what has gone wrong in the natural
environment is now in the hands of our youths.
The Theme, Waste Not empowers young people under
The guidance of environmentalists, educators, entrepreneurs and
researchers, to collaborate locally and globally to plan and
implement innovative initiatives to overcome the natural
environment challenges.

is a youth-led global platform for students to
network, discuss and initiate innovation for
sustainable solutions to protect children, fresh
water and the natural environment from

Environment Study
Visit Kamchay Hydropower Dam at Kampot
Province.
The dam produce 194 MKw of electricity. Hear from
the community on the ecological and environmental
impact of the dam.
Visit Salt and Pepper production and durian
plantation.

Temperature: Low 24o Celsius high 32o Celsius
Electrical socket: 2 round / flat pin
Attire: Day 1 & 3 (Open & Closing) in School uniform
Day 2 in GYS T-shirt provided

for the most Sustainable Environmental Solution
Theme: Water, Waste or Energy Minimisation
Category: Senior (16 years and above) and Junior
(15 years and below)
First round: 1 min pitch for audience scoring
Final Round: Finalist 5 min pitch to panel of judges
Criteria: based on their ecological impact, sustainable use
of financial resources, marketing plan, teamwork and
execution plan

Criteria: based on their ecological impact, sustainable use of
financial resources, marketing plan, teamwork and execution plan
Three awards - Junior and Senior category
Sponsorship money to continue the project
After GYS, to report progress of project
Winners invited to present their progress and experience at next GYS.
No limit per group, recommend 5 students to facilitate discussion and
teamwork.
Presentation on Powerpoint, charts (materials provided to design charts)
Bring own laptops or thumb-drives of the presentation day.
