Method of Communicating Grades:
Grades for each test will be distributed to each individual one week after taking
the test.

Make-up Tests:
There are no make-up tests/examinations in this course. If a student is unable
to attend class on the day a test is scheduled, the weight of the final will be
increased by the weight of the missed test (i.e., counts 60%)

Test Review
Faculty will review exam content when test results are distributed. Students who
wish to review their own test results must schedule an appointment with the
faculty within two (2) weeks after receiving individual results.

Standardized testing
During the semester, students will be assessed using standardized diagnostic tests
(that will provide valuable individual feedback regarding their learning styles and
mastery of course content. All of these standardized scheduled tests are required.
Failure to take the test(s) will result in a grade of I, or Incomplete, for the
course

STANDARDIZED TESTING:
During the semester students will be given access to Elsevier Assessment Practice Tests,
Case Studies and Adaptive Quizzing RN. These tools will provide valuable individual
feedback regarding mastery of course content and help prepare you for the Proctored
Standardized Examination. To be able to access these tools online, students will be
given assessment ID numbers at the beginning of the semester as well as instructions on
how to create your own personalized online account. To promote success in this course,
students must login and complete an assessment in the Adaptive Quizzing RN one (1)
time every week for a minimum of 2-3 hours. Also, students are assigned Case Studies
that correlate with the lecture topic assigned. Please refer to the Course Calendar
section of the syllabus to view the assigned Case Studies. Students are expected to
review the Case Studies prior to class and be prepared to discuss them on the assigned
day. Additionally, approximately two (2) weeks before the administration of the end of
semester Proctored Standardized Examination, students should login to Practice Tests
and complete these tests. Students MUST utilize the results from the Practice Tests to
guide their studying and to remediate their weaknesses in preparation for the Proctored
Standardized Examination. Each student is required to take a Proctored Standardized
Examination towards the end of the semester. The grade earned on the Proctored
Standardized Examination will be added to the calculation of the final grade for the
course. Please refer to the grading policy section of the syllabus. Failure to take the
