Chapter 5 Summary of findings

1. Educational Attainment
-76% percent of our respondents in condominiums are college graduate, there are 19% who
are post studying(Masteral/Doctorate), 4% who are highschool graduate and none of them
are elementary graduate.
2. Occupation
-Most of our respondents are Government and private employee based on their percentage of
29% and 28%, almost the same. There are 19% of them who are businessman(self-employed)
and there are few of them who are in occupation of labor, call center agent, teacher and
unemployed which has 3%, 4%, 6%, and 1%. There are 14% who does not pick any from our
choices and chooses others, they did not specify their occupation.
3. Income (Monthly wage)
-The monthly income of our most respondents is P10,000-P30,000 on a percentage of 46%,
because the condominium we surveyed are affordable based on the majority of monthly
income. 18% percent of our respondents have P31,000-P50,000 monthly income. 11% are
receiving above P50,000 and the least of them are receiving above P100,000 and less than
P10,000 with a percentage of 3% and 4%.
4. What means of transportation do you use to reach your work area?
-Grabtaxi is the most used transportation to reach their work area based on our survey
because of the 64 respondents who chosen Grabtaxi. They chosen grabtaxi for a reason of;
accessible, safe, etc(question no.8). 39 respondents uses jeepney because they save money or
they used to ride jeepney. There are 32 of them who have their own car. 31 respondents
chosen MRT/LRT because they don't want to experienced traffic the same as other taxi with a
number of 31 respondents, maybe because they don't have the application of grabtaxi. The
least of our respondents uses UV Express, Bus, and Tricycle with a number of 22, 17, 25 of
our respondents.
5. Why do you use the chosen means of transporation?
-They use their chosen means of transportation because 53 of our respondents wants to save
time and energy, 51 says/said that it's safe, 49 says/said that it is accessible, they don't have to
wait hours to ride. 29 says/said its cheaper and they want to avoid traffic for a reason of being
late at work/school.
6. Problem/s encountered using the chosen means of transportation
-Our respondents also encountered issues/problems like; 39 of our respondents says/said that
some drivers reject passengers because they judge the physical traits of their passengers. 32
says/said that most driver charge them expensive fare to reach their boundaries immediately.
31 respondents says/said that most drivers are not trustworthy for a reason of not returning
their change. 28 respondents says/said that they have to wait long time to ride because some
transportation requires to fall in line because of the large number of commuters.
7. How often do you ride taxi?

-42% of our respondents ride taxi on rare occasions like Christmas, New Year, Reunion, etc.
to avoid traffic and reach their occasions immediately. 22% ride taxi weekly for work and
school purposes, to avoid traffic as well.
8. Have you tried booking a taxi using Grabtaxi application?
-Most of them anwered yes with a percentage of 74% that 26% who answered no.
8.1. If not, reasons why you hesitate to use the Grabtaxi application
-Out of 26% who answered no, 68 of them says/said that grabtaxi application needs to use
internet to have access. 58 respondents says/said that grabtaxi has expensive fare, 47 of them
don't have the application and 32 of our respondents are not sure if grabtaxi is safe because of
the rumors about taxis being attached to crimes such as holdaping and rape.
8.2. If yes, reasons why you choose on using the Grabtaxi application?
-Out of 74% who answered yes, 74 of them feel safe and comfortable when riding grabtaxi
because they receive information about the driver. 55 respondents says/said that it's easy to
access/book, because all you have to do is to type your destination and wait for a grabtaxi
driver to accept your request. 47 respondents choose grabtaxi because they don't have to wait
long time, because the grabtaxi driver who accepts your request is only meters away or
nearest to your location.
9. How long does grabtaxi application reach you?
-Based on our 70% respondents, grabtaxi reach them for about less than 15 minutes because
as we said earlier, that grabtaxi that'll accept your request or reach you is near to your
location or only meters away from your place.
10. 9.1.How about duration waiting time of riding a regular taxi?
-47% of our respondents wait for about 15-30 minutes because regular taxi usually drive in
many locations, so its hard to wait a taxi that will go exactly to your place. 24% of our
respondents wait for about 31-45 minutes because of the same reason.
11. Based on your experienced, rate how satisfied you are in riding a grabtaxi.
-45 respondents are moderately satisfied in riding a grabtaxi based on their experience and
the reasons in question no.8
