BHA WASH TOOL

The high level of safety in todays drilling operations around the world
requires special attention to equipment. Most drilling rigs have fully
automated derrick and pipe handling systems. In some countries the
legislation prohibits personnel to work on the drill floor while the automatic
pipe handling machines are in use. But still we experience personnel using
HP cleaners when BHA etc. are pulled through rotary.
In order to prevent this from happening we have developed the BHA Wash
Tool. Utilizing the BHA Wash Tool the BHA can still be high pressure
cleaned, but without exposing personnel to danger of dropped objects or
working close to remote operated machines on Drill floor (Red Zone). To
ensure maximum performance the BHA Wash Tool will be specifically
designed to suit any drilling unit.
The BHA Wash Tool cleans BHA and other oddly shape and sized parts in
the drill string using high pressure water in very limited volumes. The BHA
Wash Tool will be placed on top of the diverter or bell nipple and connected
to rigs HP wash system. The tool has 4 to 6 high pressure nozzles facing
well center. BHA Wash Tool nozzles will be connected to the rigs HP
system or a special high pressure unit fit for purpose. Actuation of the
water HP water flow can be done locally on the drill floor or remotely from
Driller cabin. BHA Wash Tool is fully certified for offshore conditions.

BHA Wash Tool highlights:

BHA wash tool experience on Transocean Searcher

The BHA wash tool has worked as intended. In my opinion this is a step in the right direction that every drilling rig
should consider. It enables us to stay in compliance with red zone requirements without compromising the quality
of the craftsmanship on the rig floor. We keep the floor clean while pulling BHA, which is a HSE benefit as a
slippery deck represents a risk. It saves time, not having to stop and clean BHA for every couple of meters. The
deck crew is also happy, as the string components coming out are cleaner than before.
The tool is custom made to fit our diverter. It's mounted once the diverter is in place and stays there until removing
the diverter for pulling BOP/riser. It does not affect any operation. The ID of the tool allows the diverter insert
packer to pass through. Rigtools have been easy to cooperate with, and they have delivered full documentation.

Pipe Wash & Dope Tool

The high level of safety in today's drilling operations around the world requires special
attention to equipment. Most drilling rigs have fully automated derrick and pipe handling
systems. In some countries the legislation prohibits personnel to work on the drill floor while
the automatic pipe handling machines are in use. But still we experience personnel using HP
cleaners and manual dope brushes when Drill Pipe and other tubulars are cleaned and doped
prior connection.
In order to prevent this from happening we have developed the Pipe Wash & Dope Tool.
Utilizing the Pipe Wash & Dope Tool the tubulars will become high pressure cleaned and
doped without exposing personnel to danger of dropped objects or working close to remote
operated machines on Drill floor (Red Zone).
The Pipe Wash & Dope Tool cleans and dopes DP and DC; using high pressure water in very
limited volumes. How does the Pipe Wash & Dope Tool work? The pipe is lowered down into
the tool by means of the pipe handler. When the pipe reaches the bottom the treads and inside
tool joint is cleaned by means of HP water and air. After a few seconds the pipe can be pulled
upwards and threads is applied with a thin layer of dope.
To ensure maximum performance the tool needs supply of HP water (175-200 bars at 60 C)
and control air of 6 to 10 bar. Rigtools can deliver HP Hot Wash unit RT-EX100 fit for purpose.
In cold conditions we recommend to preheat the dope to ensure perfect layer on threads.

S-Torque tool
Many rigs are equipped with manual mud pump fluid end caps. These caps are usually tightened and loosened by use
of sledgehammer. Use of sledgehammer is a potential hazard to personnel and equipment. Rigtools have introduced the
S-Torque Tool in order to prevent accidents while handling mud pump fluid end caps. This tool eliminates use of
sledgehammer.

Rigtools Flowline Magnets

The high level of safety, efficiency and cost in today's drilling operations around
the world requires special attention to equipment. Most drilling rigs have the old
type of Ditch Magnets laying in the bottom of the Flowline. They are heavy and
not efficient or safe to use, which causes risk of back injuries, cut fingers, mud
exposures and mud pump failures.
In order to prevent this we have developed Rigtools Flowline Magnets. Utilizing
the Magnets the wellbore fluid will be cleaned without exposing personnel to
danger or injuries.
How does the Rigtools Flowline Magnets work?
The Flowline Magnets system is placed in a frame which fits to the header box
or flowline (or both). This provides a complete magnetic barrier across the full
width and depth of the fluid path. Each Flowline Magnet is pulled one at a time
rather than the whole frame having to be lifted. When the magnetic material is
pulled above the stopper plate any metal will be discharged from the Flowline
Magnet.

for lifting operations. Rigtools Sling Rack is designed to ensure use of
correct slings in lifting operations.
How does the Sling Rack work?
The beams accommodating the slings are adjusted to fit the different
