This guide is based on American pronunciation of words, and is therefore not a perfect
representation of Sanskrit sounds.

Siva shares His body with pArvathi (who has bamboo like arms); He has a stained throat due to
the poison he ate; He plays a very good veena; He wears a blemish-less moon and the Ganga
river on his head; He entered my heart and dwells there. Therefore, all the nine planets (sun,
moon, .... rAhu and kEthu) are good without any blemish. They are very good to the devotees
indeed.
Bones, boar's tusk, and tortoise shell adorn Siva's chest. He wears a garland of
datura flowers (with golden pollen) and the Ganga river on his head. He rides on a
bull with Parvathi. He entered my heart and dwells there. Therefore, all the days that
are considered inauspicious are good without any blemish. They are very good to the
devotees indeed.

Siva has a beautiful coral like red body that is smeared with bright holy ash. He wears fragrant
kondRai flowers and the moon on His head. He rides on a white bull with Parvathi. He entered my
heart and dwells there. Therefore, all deities such as Lakshmi (goddess of wealth), Durga
(goddess of victory), mother earth, and guardians of the various quarters are good like rare
wealth. They are very good to the devotees indeed.
Our Lord Siva accompanied by pArvathi (who has a beautiful forehead like crescent
moon) sits under a banyan tree and teaches the vedas. He wears Ganga river and
garland of kondRai flowers on His head. He entered my heart and dwells there.
Therefore, angry kAlan, fire, Yama and his messengers, and various deadly diseases
are very good. They are very good to the devotees indeed.

Our Father Siva has a (dark) throat adorned by the poison. He rides on a bull accompanied by
pArvathi. He wears vanni leaves (Indian Mesquite) and kondRai flowers (Indian Laburnum) on
his head. He entered my heart and dwells there. Therefore, dreadfully angry asuras, roaring
thunder, lightning, and all the elements will be afraid (of us) and be very good. They are very
good to the devotees indeed.
Siva wears bright striped tiger skin and a loin cloth. He wears fresh flowers, vanni
leaves (Indian Mesquite), kondRai flowers (Indian Laburnum), and Ganga river on
his head. He is accompanied by Parvathi. He entered my heart and dwells there.
Therefore, powerful deadly tigers, elephants, boars, cobras, bears, and lions are very
good. They are very good to the devotees indeed.
(Note: The phrase "migai Ana pUdham" may be interpreted in more than one manner. It can mean
the five elements, or things like ghosts, etc.)

Siva has Parvathi (who has beautiful breast) as one half of His body. He is the source of all good
things. He wears on His head the beautiful young crescent moon and the Ganga river that
approached Him. He entered my heart and dwells there. Therefore, all kinds of fevers, chills, and
diseases that are caused by imbalance of bodily fluids, etc. will not cause any trouble. They are
very good. They are very good to the devotees indeed.
Long ago, Siva opened His third eye and burnt manmathan (god of love) down. He
wears bright crescent moon, vanni leaves (Indian Mesquite), and kondRai flowers
(Indian Laburnum). He is seated on a bull with Parvathi. He entered my heart and
dwells there. Therefore, we will have no troubles from Ravana, (the king of Lanka
surrouned by the seven seas), and other afflictions. The deep sea will be very good.
They are very good to the devotees indeed.

Siva, the Supreme Being, assumes many forms. He is the ardhanArIsvara, with Parvathi as one
half of His body. He rides on a bull. He wears Ganga river and erukku flower (crown flower Calotropis gigantea) on His head. He entered my heart and dwells there. Therefore, Brahma (who
is seated on the lotus flower), Vishnu, Vedas, Devas, the future, the seas, the Meru mountain, etc.
will be very good. They are very good to the devotees indeed.
Siva took the form of a hunter and went with Parvathi (who wears bunches of flowers
on her curly hair) to bestow his grace on Arjuna. He wears datura flower, crescent
moon, and cobra on His head. He entered my heart and dwells there. Therefore,
Lord's holy ash will defeat the Buddhists and the Jains in the debates. Its greatness is
certain. All will be very good. They are very good to the devotees indeed.
(Note: Siva is referred to as 'vikirdha' (vikrutha) - one who acts differently)
