The Wolf That Rang The Bell

One evening, a shepherd was taking his sheep


home. A naughty lamb quietly left the flock. It had
a bell around its neck.
The lamb played alone in the field. It was dancing
and singing. It was having a good time. A wolf
suddenly came behind and caught the lamb. The
wolf opened its mouth wide. It ready to eat the
lamb.
Wait, Mr. Wolf! cried out the lamb. My stomach
is full of grass. I will taste bitter and sour if you
eat me now. When can I eat you? asked the wolf.
wait till my stomach fully digests the grass. Let
me dance o that it will digest the grass faster. The
lamb started to dance and the wolf waited
patiently.
Later the lamb asked the wolf to ring the bell which
was tied to its neck. The lamb asked the wolf to
ring the bell harder so that it can dance better.
The wolf rings the bell and the lamb continued to
dance. Shake harder! shouted the lamb. The wolf
shook the bell harder.
The shepherd heard the bell sound from far and
knew that it comes from his lost lamb. He brought
along a few dogs with him to find his lost lamb.

Soon they reached the place where the sound


come from and found out that a wolf was there.
They chased away the wolf and rescued the lamb
from the wolf.
MORAL: Quick thinking can save a person from
danger
