A Caution: The Greeks were very graphic in their description of violence and some
of the description of how Odysseus dealt with Polyphemus is, shall we say, typically
Greek? If those sorts of details bother you, skip lines starting with I drew it from the
coals and my four fellows gave me a hand, lugging it near the Cyclops as more than

natural force nerved them:. To The Cyclops bellowed and the rock roared round
him Lines 375-390 in the linked version.
