I. Introduction
In modern society, when time is gold and a certain individual who wants to achieve his targeted
goal within a limited time is required to experience a strict and well-constructed process of

designing, implementing and improving. In particular, to an active learner, the requirement of selflearning and self-management which help him optimize his potentials for better outcomes with
professional and critical refection of the process above. Through a series of chain activities of
designing for virtuous implementation and attaining the most possibly optimistic result with
improvement practice. The report will critically analyze the self-understanding of the author on this
process, from which give the insightful conclusion of the importance of managing process from
both personal and organizational perspectives in the workplace as well as reflect the process that
the author himself has undertaken for unbiased evaluation of what has been gained and what needs
to be improved.

II. Analysis
1. Changes in understanding of designing, implementing and improving
process through the subject
According to Bourne (2012), when it comes to changes, it usually shows both side positive and
negative effects to an individual and in general, to an institution. It all comes clear on how they
respond to it and what action a certain organization need to do to make its employees aware of the
importance of changes to their work to the highest extent. Changes could occur as attributed to a
process and in the area of business, it requires professionalism, high competency and selfcognizance coming from within of every employee.
When a strategic plan has been design, the action of bringing the written plan to the reality for
enforcement is called implementation. This stage involves the high solidarity and wellconnectedness between all the stakeholders regardless of how greatly their outcomes contribute to
the completion of the plan. In addition, the last stage, improvement would deal with the
unprejudiced assessment of the obtained results and the deliberation of how to better achieve the
higher level. Through the subject, I got the idea that business process alters involved value chains,
competitive advantage, and theoretical approach and all the notions associated with each other at
some extent. Business strategy covered how a business possess has a competitive advantage, and
manage to achieve its goals, as well as the guidelines that are mandatory to begin approaching the
goals. Besides, with equipped insights of the process, now I have a firm base to start and finish any
business plan at ease without any wonder of how to make it right like before.

2. The awareness of the importance of managing process to ensure


organizational success
According to Treacy and Wiersema, 1993, the business process sets forth the capability and chance
of delivering the best quality within reach of the product or service to the customers. On top of that,
the purpose of designing, implementing and improving the business process is to create new value
to the businesss product or service and thus create the competitive advantage for that business.
Thanks to the subject, I understand that the context of modern business environment has been
witnessing the high volatility with fluctuating indices. I also know that the rapid growth and
multifaceted advances in the area of technology allow reducing the human force and improving the
productivity. Apparently, these advances are achieved thanks to the implicit control of the
management practice. For example, the second decade of the 21st century has seen the strong
emergence in the use of mobile devices, especially in the area of business where getting information
in time is equally as important as sustaining the existence of a business. As owning a smartphone, I
admit that it has substantially support me in being fully attentive of any new happening within
seconds thanks to extremely speedy information transfer process. Also, I could even make decision
from afar through telecommunication means to make sure that the business operation is never out of
date since the surrounding entities are always moving. Additionally, reflecting from my own

experiences, I can say that managing process with the effective help from technology advance
would even play a far more significant role in ensuring the organizational success.
Another important aspect that I leernt from the subject is the importance of customers, the external
environmental factor that every business from its primary mission focuses as the determining
motivators for its survival and possible thriving opportunities. Especially in modern society when
the customers are having a wide range of options and substitutes in just one product or service.
More importantly, nowadays customers could easily access a variety of information sources and
there are an increasing number of online websites that diminishes the difficulty of traditional buying
model which are satisfies all requirements of availability, accessibility as well as delivery standards
(Krass, P., 2000).

3. Discussion on the role of weekly activities as well as the insights of the


process of designing, implementing and improving
As mentioned in the part of Benchmarking which is the process of learning from the best of others
then self-reflect on the business of its own, weekly activities has a strong influence on facilitating
the positive modification within the organization as well as create and withstand the competitive
advantages of the business over other rivals in the marketplace. From the personal perspective of an
employee, the strict following of weekly activities with clear ongoing timeframe every week helps
me to a great extent in fulfilling my tasks plus make me more knowledgeable of the importance of
the business process that can be completed from the slightest pieces of task.
As I learnt from the subject, the business process has turned the table in the business operation
within the organization following the principle that generally implies that if a business wants to
strike to the top position, it has to be outstandingly excellent from within before spreading out to the
outside environment. However, not all the businesses successfully adapt the principle into the
reality since the harsh truths in the real situation of the business worlds always challenge the
patience and determination of the businesspersons. Possibly, when your expectations are set high
but the actual outcomes have failed in accomplishing I, which can be owing to the erratic incidences
of the threatening business environment.

4. Personal application in the workplace


According to Holmes, M.A., 2012, a decent business should structurally emphases on customers,
the energetic market and investments with deliberate mind in comprehending the strategic goals and
objectives. Alternatively, accepting the diverse viewpoints of the business was pointedly obliging.
The business framework improves different understandings of a business; tactical understanding,
competency and knowledge understanding, and organizational understanding. To me, facing the
possible anxiety of my own is the first step to deal with many other problems in the workplace. The
cause of the uncertainties should be scrutinized and addressed. Additionally, satisfactory training for
the presentation, one of the most vital soft skill in the office is chiefly crucial. It helps acquaint with
the presentation and visually illustrate for the audience. Before and during the presentation, I often
relax my mind with my favorite pieces of music to evade distractions and motivate the inner spirit
strength to confront the fear. AS a result, it improves the competence of an employee.
In addition, I regulate the technique of managerial process being contingent to various matters.
When I make a decision, the most important thing coming to my mind is the possible consequence
of the decision. It can be easeful to make a certain decisions, but there are some compound
decisions that require analysis as well as deliberation. Although the significance of a decision
affects the business process, there come other aspect contributes to it such as previous experiences,
mechanical skills, stakeholders, and resources. Consequently, before making a decision in the
workplace, I am forced by principles to do research for the right decision. I opt a source of
information such as printed sources books, journals, and magazines or the Internet- the largest

treasure of knowledge of human beings with wide-ranging categories. Another source of


information is my colleagues, who can give me professional consultancy for they have known me
well enough to decide which is the most proper advice for me at the time.
Finally, as an employee in a company with the high awareness of the importance of self-changing
and self-adaptation to new situation in the context of cutthroat business environment, I fully
understand the issue of To change or to die. In other words, it is a transition process where an
organization experiments a new method by considering the older one and decide to modify for its
future prosperity. In my opinion, I do hold the belief that change does have positive effects as it
enables the smoother operation of an organization and in that way gaining high productivity and
efficacy regarding assimilating many units in an organization together. The subject has given me
second thought of what I believe to stick to previously when I had supposed that a good approach
can be used for a lifetime.

Conclusion
Conclusively, the process of designing, implementing and improving is always taken into
consideration by any business for its long-tern development. The author has just explained to a
certain extent of the understanding of the process, critically analyzed insights and application of
managing process in the workplace as well as the awareness of its importance to the sustainable
development of the business in the context of highly competitive in the marletplace.
