Introduction
a. Rules and procedures are fundamental in life. We follow rules and procedures in
our daily lives for things such as approaching a traffic light, starting and driving a
car, and writing a letter. There are also rules and procedures for this classroom.
These rules and procedures ensure a positive atmosphere in the classroom. They
contribute to a controlled and learning environment for everyone.

Turning in assignments
a. The teacher will sometimes collect homework, group-work or individual work.
You will turn these in only when the teacher asks for them. Make sure the
assignment has your full name, period number and date. This should be on the
top margin of your paper.

Extra Credit
a. Extra credit will be given at the beginning of the six weeks. Anyone may turn in
extra credit.

Restroom Procedures
a. You will receive two bathroom passes per six weeks. YOU WILL NOT BE
ALLOWED TO LEAVE CLASS WITHOUT A PASS, NO EXCEPTIONS.
b. Only one student at a time may leave the classroom
c. Restroom passes are only applicable for the bottom floor bathrooms in S-wing. If
you use them to go to the vending machines, to wander the halls, or to go to a
bathroom on another floor or wing, you will be considered to be skipping class
and will be given the resulting consequences.
d. Abuse of the restroom passes may result in your loss of restroom privileges

Classroom Rules
a. Classroom rules are posted in the classroom. This is a review of what each rule
means.
i. Treat our teacher and classmates with respect. (You treat me with
respect when you do as I ask, dont talk back, dont complain, and dont
touch my things without asking, and follow classroom rules and
procedures. You treat your classmates with respect when you are kind,
and refrain from swearing, teasing, name calling, making fun of people,
etc)
ii. Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself. (Do not throw things, hit,
kick, or push anyone or anything, etc)
iii. Be inside the classroom, prepared to learn, when the bell rings (You are
inside the classroom and picking up the proper materials to start class
when the bell finishes ringing.

Consequences
a. Consequences are the things that happen when you choose to not follow a rule.
This is what will happen if you choose to disobey the classroom rules.
i. First time: Warning, parent contact
ii. Second and Third: Detention, Tuesday and Thursdays before school,
written assignment, parent contact
iii. Office Referral
