Dear Principal
I am an experienced teacher on unpaid leave from Miramar North School looking for
relieving work close to home during 2010. This has come about because my sister has
been diagnosed with terminal cancer and would like me to take care of her as her
illness progresses. At present, she is able to cope by herself, and as I am unsure
when she will need me, I have taken leave from my permanent position so as not to
disrupt my students.
In the meantime, I am seeking relieving work in any capacity. I have been teaching in
the classroom since 2001 and during this time have been head of the Middle
Syndicate and HOD Arts at Miramar North School. I am a very experienced music
teacher having worked with a wide range of children since 1993, taking bands, choirs,
drumming, ukulele, guitar, recorder, soloist work, and whole school and syndicate
singing.
I am qualified to run a comprehensive music programme throughout the school and
will continue this work on Fridays at Miramar North School. Therefore, I am available
from Mondays through Thursdays to work in your school either in the classroom or as
a music teacher.
