If you encounter a terminal throwing an, ecardpos.
dll file missing error, please
follow the steps below, to avoid disabling ASV cards at the site. 1 2
Reboot Terminal.
Check the services running on the BOH
a If ATDDB and GCLegacy are present and running, this site is on the older version of ASV cards i Drop the appropriate ecardpos.dll into the BIN directory on the BOH and refresh. The terminal(s) should come up and ADSV cards should run properly. ii If the terminal(s) do not function as expected, contact Hosted Solutions support. b If the Stored Value BoH Service and Stored Value Update Service services are present, the site is on SV1, the new ASV service. i It is imperative that you do not drop an ecardpos.dll file into the BIN directory on the BOH or terminal(s), as doing so will crash ASV services at the site. ii If the site is not open or if the issue is not time-sensitive, escalate to Hosted Solutions support. iii If circumstances dictate immediate action, you should do the following: 1 Assuming the SV1 services mentioned above are running, you should look at the C:\Program Files\Radiant Systems\Aloha Stored Value FoH directory on the terminal in question. a If the Aloha Stored Value FoH directory is already present, stop and escalate to Hosted Solutions support. b If the directory is not present, go to the %iberdir %/BIN directory on the terminal end execute SVTerminalInstall.msi. c When that completes, from the same directory, execute VBOInst.exe i This will complete quickly. You may see nothing but a brief black box. 2 You should now see the Aloha Stored Value FoH directory. a If you do not, escalate to Hosted Solutions Support. b If you do, reboot the terminal. c When the terminal comes back up, you should be able to path to c:\Program Files\Radiant Systems\Aloha Stored Value FoH and there should be a BIN and DATA directory therein. This is where the card cache information is stored. These are created when the terminal begins communicating with the ADSV service. i If these directories are not present, escalate to Hosted Solutions support. 3 Have the site test selling, querying and redeeming an ASV card on the terminal.
