Objectives:
A. Students develop factual and conceptual knowledge about individuals and
societies.
C. Students develop skills to organize, document and communicate their learning
using a variety of media and presentation formats.
Conceptual: How does geography affect a community?
Conceptual: How does immigration affect a community's culture?
Tasks:
1. Students will continue to visit websites in order to find out more about their
colony. Students will take notes on the colony's geography, climate, government,
economy, reasons for establishment, and its people's cultures.
2. Students will complete their colony poster about their colony.
3. Students will print and turn in their poster before they leave class.
