Installation
This chapter sets out in detail the installation procedure for the
MBS1800 and the parts included with the equipment. The person responsible
for the installation should check to ensure that there are no missing parts
prior to the installation.
Inside the MBS1800 carton, apart from the MBS1800 hardware itself the
following 12 part types are included as well:
(1) H Frame
(2) Capped Pipe Clamps x 2
(3) Capless Pipe Clamps x 2
(4) 3/8”Long Screws x 4
(5) 3/8”Medium Screws x 4
(6) 5/16”Short Screws x 4
(7) Nuts
(8) Screws
(9) Power Connector
(10) Alarm Connector
(11) Alarm Connector Dust Cover
(12) 1W Load

The MBS1800 casing can be attached directly to the wall using screws,
but to expedite future maintenance, repairs and removal, and to make it
easier to affix the MBS1800 casing to a steel tower or antenna support
pole, we suggest the use of the H Frame to secure the MBS1800 casing.
The H Frame dimensions are as shown in Diagram <6>. If hanging the
MBS1800 casing on a wall, before installation two holes should be drilled
into the wall based on the measurements shown in Diagram <6>. After
screw anchors have been inserted, secure the H Frame. Now refer to
Diagram <7> and screw in two 3/8” medium screws from the lower rear
of the H Frame to act as load bearing points for the casing. Finally refer
to Diagram <8> and place the indentations in the base of the MBS1800
casing on the two 3/8” medium screws described above, and then use the
bolts and nuts to secure the four corners of the MBS1800 casing.

If the MBS1800 is to be attached to an antenna support pole, then two
capless pipe clamps must first be secured to the H Frame as shown in
Diagram <9>. The capped pipe clamps and capless pipe clamps on the H
Frame can then be used to secure the H Frame to the antenna support pole.
Now refer to Diagram <7> and screw in two 3/8” medium screws from
the lower rear of the H Frame to act as load bearing points for the casing.
Then refer to Diagram <9> and place the indentations in the base of the
MBS1800 casing on the two 3/8” medium crews described above, and
then use the bolts and nuts to secure the four corners of the MBS1800
casing.

Power Supply Connector and Alarm Connector
Manufacture
As the AC power supply and alarm connectors is based on the
MS3106 series military specification, so the connections need to be
welded together. The procedure to assemble the power supply and alarm
connector are shown separately in Diagram <10> and Diagram <11>.
The power supply and alarm connectors have different dimensions.
They may look similar but their connections are different and there is no
commonality in their components.
