Prologue

The game opens up with a cutscene of the Fourth Hokage redirecting the Kyuubi's
Tailed Beast Bomb only to be attacked from behind by the Masked Man. After this
introductory sequence you will faced with your first Ultimate Decision: Do you wish to
play as Minato and take on the Masked Man first? Or would you rather see how the
villagers are faring under Nine Tails' attack?
*If you choose the Legend path, the action will automatically shift to the village
once you have depleted around 40% of the Masked Man's health. Control will switch
back to Minato after Nine Tails has been defeated.
Hidden Leaf Defense
Difficulty: **
Hero Points: 1000
Bonus Objective: Keep health above 40%
Over in the village it's up to the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, to keep the
Kyuubi at bay. For this fight you will have to jump between buildings and use long
distance attacks. You will also have a merry band of ninja ready to assist in battle
whenever the gauge is full. Keep an eye out for the yellow "Danger!" prompt; this means
that Nine Tails is about to destroy the building you're standing on. As soon as you see it,
run away to avoid taking damage from his attacks. More reinforcements will arrive as the
battle plays out; run over to them and activate the appropriate button prompts as needed.
Mysterious Man
Difficulty: ****
Legend Points: 2500
Bonus Objective: Keep health above 40%
The battle with the Masked Man is pretty straight-forward: Defend against his
attacks and hit him with anything you can as soon as he has an opening. If possible,
Chakra Dash toward him when the Secret Action icon in order to do inflict some pretty
hefty damage.
Chapter 1: The Five Kage Summit
Naruto and Sakura have been working hard to rebuild the village, but Naruto is all
about the ramen that Kakashi has promised him. After the cutscene you will be
introduced to the free-roaming aspect of UNS3. Make sure that you read the in-game
tutorials and prompts as you explore the village. Talk to the villagers and be on the
lookout for those with special icons above their heads. Keep in mind that you can break
the boxes scattered around town to collect money, so do that while you check the place
out. Follow the red arrow on the map until you reach Izumo and Kotetsu. After a quick
chat, Naruto and Co. decide to help the struggling pair by building a birdhouse at the
edge of town.

Building Birdhouses
Client: Izumo & Kotetsu
Special Mission Events: Head to the Hidden Leaf Gate on instructions from Izumo and
Kotetsu and build a birdhouse.
Reward(s): 500 Ryo, Kaibi Bento x1
This is your first Request Mission and is required in to continue with the rest of
the game. The group must build a birdhouse -- or save point -- at edge of town. Follow
the red arrow on your map to reach the area. When you arrive the birdhouse will
automatically be built, allowing you to manually save your game.
Before you leave this area, talk to Shikaku, who is hanging out in the southwestern
corner. He will give you the Special Request Mission, Complete Timeline. For more indepth information on this quest, check out theNinja World Timeline section of the wiki.
Spoiled Tool Shop Staff
Client: Tool Shop Staff
Special Mission Events: The tool shop clerk seems to be having some trouble. Listen to
her problem and do the right thing.
Reward(s): 10,000 Ryo, 70% Discount Coupon x1
Stop in to the Tool Shop and speak to the morose lady behind the counter to kick
this Request Mission off. You will be given a quick tutorial about product lineups and
blue prints.
Once the birdhouse has been planted, Naruto and the gang set their sights on their
original destination: Ichiraku Ramen. When the group arrives they are met by Kiba, who
shares some interesting information with the trio. This event officially kicks off Chapter
1.
After the jump, the objective is to go to Hokage's Mansion and speak to Danzo.
On the way there, be sure to stop off at Ichiraku Ramen to learn about Health Recovery,
and General Store Bandai for info about Collection Items.
Make sure that you have plenty of Bento Boxes in your inventory before you
proceed with the story! You will have a couple of back-to-back battles; being able to keep
healthy between rounds is of the utmost importance, particularly if you want to meet any
health gauge related Bonus Requirements!

Continue on until a cutscene plays; this will kick off your fight against Yamato.
Pay attention to the in-game tutorials about the Item List(s) and Ninja Tools. Get yourself
sorted and ready to throw down.

Naruto vs. Yamato

Battle Objectives:

Win Battle
Bonus Requirement: Perform a 20-hit combo

Rewards

3000 Ryo
Chakra Recovery Potion x3
Kalbi Bento (if Bonus Requirement is met)

This fight is incredibly straightforward and shouldn't really give you any trouble.
In fact, it's a good opportunity to become more familiar with the game's fighting
mechanics. If possible, use Naruto's Ultimate Jutsu when it becomes available to finish
the match with style.
Watch the cutscene after the fight. When you have control again you should use a
Bento Box to regain any missing health and use the nearby Birdhouse to save your game.
Follow the linear path up the mountain; when you reach the next area there will be a lot
of yelling about revenge before Naruto rashly attacks Raikage.

Naruto vs. Raikage

Battle Objectives:

Win Battle
Opponent's Attack Power up (+5)
Bonus Requirements: Keep health at 40% or more

Rewards

4500 Ryo
Book of Mind's Eye x2
Nori Bento x1 (Bonus)

Make good use of your Guard here, because Raikage is not playing around. Use
your Chakra wisely so that you can set him up and unload on him. Go for the Ultimate
Jutsu Finish when available to end the fight quickly. Keep in mind that no matter how
well you perform, the in-game dialogue will suggest otherwise. Just go with it.
When the battle ends, a series of cutscenes will lead into a three-on-one fight
between Naruto, Kakashi, and Yamato versus the Masked Man: Madara Uchiha.

Naruto, Kakashi, Yamato vs. Madara

Battle Objectives:

Win Battle
Use Support Attack 4 times

Rewards:

5000 Ryo
Paper Bomb x2
20% Discount Coupon x1 (Bonus)

For this skirmish, Naruto can call on Kakashi and Yamato to lend support. Keep an
eye on their respective gauges and use them as necessary because Madara is not playing
around. He likes to teleport out of combos so get as many combo hits in as possible
before he disappears. Move around (a lot) and use Kakashi and Yamato when necessary
to take this guy down.
After some very lengthy cutscenes, you will be in control of Sasuke, who is hellbent on finding Danzo. Stop and talk to the Peddler by the entrance to replenish any

consumables you may be running low on. Once inside, another series of cutscenes will
lead up to the next skirmish.

Sasuke, Suigetsu, and Jugo vs. Raikage & Hidden Cloud Jonin
Battle Objectives:

Win Battle
Opponent's Attack Power up (+10)
Bonus Requirements: Finish opponent with Ninjutsu

Rewards:

6000 Ryo
Power Mochi x2
Brawny Lunch x1 (Bonus)

This fight can be a little difficult at times, since Raikage is now shirtless and has
support. Make sure you keep moving. Use your throws and support as needed to get out
of any tight spots. When you land a combo, try to cancel into your Jutsu to inflict some
hefty damage.
After the battle is over, some words will be exchanged. When you regain control
you will have to square off against Gaara and his crew. Make sure that you restore your
health and equip any consumables before you continue.

Sasuke, Suigetsu, and Jugo vs. The Agitated Five Kage Summit
Battle Objectives:

Win Battle
Bonus Requirements: Keep Health Gauge at 60% or more

Rewards:

7000 Ryo

Super Mushroom Bento x1

Another battle where you will have support to call on. This one isn't necessarily
hard, but going for that Bonus Requirement is a little challenging. Keep your Chakra up,
move around, and watch out for Gaara's ranged attacks.
After a series of cutscenes, Sasuke and Karin will need to make their way through
the halls to reach the Five Kage Summit Hall. This sequence will introduce you to Mob
Battles, where you fight multiple enemies at a time.

Battle Objectives:

Go to the Five Kage Summit Hall

Bonus Requirements: Keep Health Gauge at 40% or more

Reward:

7000 Ryo
Lightning Style: Beginner x1
Octopus Dumplings Lunch x1 (Bonus)

Here, you will have to make an Ultimate Decision: Will you take the path to the
right, where Karin has surmised that there will be no obstacles, or will you dive headfirst
into a well of powerful chakras via the left path?
The Legend path is recommended, as it yields significantly higher reward points
and isn't as difficult as the game makes it out to be. Karin will assist you in battle with a
technique that will restore some of Sasuke's health, thus making the hack-and-slash
mayhem much more bearable.

*Be sure to use Karin's health-restoration technique after clearing each room
before moving forward. This will not only ensure your survival, but it will also allow you
to meet that Bonus Requirement!
When Sasuke finally reaches his destination he will square off
against Mizukage and two of her escorts.

Sasuke vs. Mizukage

Battle Objectives:

Win battle
Opponent's Attack Power up (+5)
Bonus Requirements: Keep Health Gauge at 40% or more

Rewards:

7000 Ryo

Grilled Fish Bento (Bonus)

For this battle, Sasuke has no support, whereas Mizukage has two cronies whom
she will call in to assist whenever possible. Mizukage has several long-range attacks, so
make sure to get up close and hit her with whatever you can.

When the skirmish finally ends sit back and watch as Chapter 1 comes to a close.

Chapter 2: Team 7 Assembles

Naruto needs some time to think about and process the new info from Madara.
After a cutscene you will be thrust into a fight against Itachi.

Win Battle
Bonus Requirements: Finish opponent with Ninjutsu

Rewards:

Itachi is not playing around. Watch out for his long-range attacks and use any
items you may have as needed.
When the fight ends, Naruto will be called over to join the others. Replenish any
missing health or supplies, and run up the slope. Chapter 2 will "officially" begin and the
story will shift to Killer Bee, who is immediately challenged to a brawl.

Bonus Requirements: Keep Health Gauge at 60% or higher

Rewards:

10,000 Ryo

This fight is pretty straightforward; however, when about 40% of Sasuke's health
is taken off, you will have to make an Ultimate Decision:
Choosing the Hero path will resume the battle between the two from the end of the
Sasuke Retrieval Ark. For a short time Naruto will be surrounded by his fox-shaped
Nine-Tails chakra; Sasuke will be surrounded by his Sharingan.
The Legend path will keep the battle lodged in the present.
Regardless of the path you choose, knocking Sasuke's health gauge down to
around the 1/3rd mark will trigger a series of QTE's. Finish the confrontation with a bang
and relax as the chapter comes to a close.

Chapter 3: Two Jinchuriki

Once all of the cutscenes are over, you'll be able to walk around the Leaf freely.
Have a look around town before you head off to the gate. Hit up the Leaf Village Cafe for
some Bento Boxes and stop in at the Tool Shop to give the clerk any Blueprints you have.
Stock up on items and break boxes and pots around town for random items before you
head to the gate. Save your game and have a chat with Guy to confirm that you are ready
to go.
But wait! You can't leave without a quick sparring match!

After the match it's off to Turtle Island. Save your game if you wish and speak to
the Chunin Ninja around the area. The path is really linear; make your way to the
destination marked on the map and watch somewhat odd cutscene that plays out. When
you regain control you will need to make your way to the Waterfall of Truth. Speak to the
Peddler up ahead, as well as the Cloud Chunin, who will give you items in exchange for
any food ingredients you find on the island. There's another Birdhouse here, so save your
game and make sure that your health is full before you proceed.

Chapter 4: The Birth of Naruto

This section of the game is intensely story and cutscene heavy, with the only real
action being a two-part battle between Naruto and Nine-Tails. Take a second to find the
Peddler and purchase any supplies you might be low on before heading to the objective,
which is behind the Waterfall of Truth. Save your game (if you haven't done so already)
and be sure that your Ninja Toolset is full of restorative items before you proceed.

As soon as the battle starts Naruto will have to make an Ultimate Decision:

Does he want Killer Bee's help in this fight, or would he rather go it alone?
Allowing "Octopops" to help will -- obviously -- make him available as an assist
during the first part of the fight. On the Legend side of things he won't help you
physically, but he will throw out some advice every now and then. This confrontation is
actually pretty simple: dash up to Nine Tails and combo his face. His main method of
attack is an arm swipe that covers a good bit of distance. He also likes to play with fire:
he will create fireballs that rain down from the sky, which is pretty much unavoidable. In
addition to this attack, has a big fire blast that can be blocked to a certain extent; it will
break the guard, leaving Naruto stunned. In addition, he will shoot giant fireballs from his

mouth, because fireballs go hand-in-hand with a fire-based rage monster. He moves

around very quickly, which will require you to do quite a lot of dashing to catch up.

Once you shave off 85% of his third energy bar a QTE will begin. This sequence
will end the first part of the fight. After a really lengthy cutscene the action will pick up
again with one noticeable difference: The Nine Tails will now be in chains, which will
make him easier to attack. On top of that, you will have support from Kushina, who is
able to slam the beast down. The recharge for this maneuver is very slow, so be sure to
use it wisely. Knocking the Nine Tails down to 15% will begin a QTE sequence that will
ultimately conclude the epic skirmish.

Post fight there will be a very brief free-roaming sequence in which a very
pregnant Kushina will need to make her way to the village gates. Talk to the little girl by
the exit and Kushina will give her a comb. Keep this in mind for later.
Talk to the lady at the gates to exit the village. Sit back and try not to get too
depressed as chapter 4 comes to a close

Chapter 5: Plotting Behind the Scenes

At the start of the chapter, Guy must make his way to the Waterfall of Truth. Stop
to replenish any Ointments or other needed supplies, and pick up the bags of Ryo littering
the ground before moving on.
The cutscene that follows will set up the next fight.

Right away you will be faced with an Ultimate Decision:

Do you want to split the swordsmen up between the three Leaf combatants, or
would you rather go all out and try to take out the whole group at once?
Choosing the Hero path, however, will break things down into three separate
battles: For the first battle, you will play as Sakura and take on only one of the
swordsmen. When he is defeated, you will take control of Lee, who will be up against
Kushimaru and Kuri'arare, with Sakura as support. Once that battle is won, you will
control Guy, with Lee and Sakura available to lend a hand or two.

As always, the Legend path is more difficult: You will control Guy straight away
as he takes on all Seven Swordsmen at once. Luckily, Lee and Sakura will lend support.
It should also be noted that there are rewards after all three of the Hero matches,
whereas the Legend path has only a single set.
After the skirmish you will control Kakashi, who is getting ready for a one-on-one
battle against Zabuza.

Charged Ninjutsu. Perform a Substitution Jutsu when Zabuza appears behind you to
execute the second.
At the end of the battle, Zabuza will be given a second wind, providing him with
one more full health bar. Take him down once and for all

Chapter 7: Mortal Combat On The Coast

The first portion of this chapter is a Mob Battle: You will be in control of Darui,
who needs to meet up with Squad Six before it gets wiped out. Darui's main obstacle is
Kakuzu, who will pop up two separate times (once at the start of the path and the other
about mid-way down). Darui's combos can easily top seventy-hits (or more) so you
shouldn't have much trouble here at all. Be sure to keep an eye on Squad Six's energy bar
at the top of the screen. If it gets too low run past the White Zetsu until you reach the
goal.
When you arrive at the coast you will have to face off against Ginkaku and
Kingaku.

alone with no support?
After the statue takes 50% damage, it will charge up to an Awakened state. Getting
hit with any of the beast's lightning attacks will stun Choji, leaving him unable to move
for a short period. Use the Sway movement to get in close and pummel the beast. Throw
rocks at it from a distance and stay out of the way of those attacks. Once you have shaved
off around 85% of its health, Choza will pop in for a stylish QTE finish.

Bonus Requirements: Keep Health Gauge at 60% or more

Rewards (Hero):

30,000 Ryo
Older Energizing Jutsu Book x1
Bonus: Medium Chakra-Renewal Band x1

Rewards (Legend):

30,000 Ryo
Iron Chain Mail x4
Bonus: Doze Tag x1

This battle puts you in control of Tsunade, and is broken up into four tiers. The
first phase is pretty easy; Support Drive is available immediately, with Raikage and Gaara
as your helpers. Pummel Madara until the action comes to a momentary stop.
In phase two of this fight, your supporting characters are Raikage and Mei.
Madara will periodically jump away to land on a tree and attack from long-range. Call on
Raikage to knock him back to the ground with a lightning strike.

The third part of the showdown begins when Madara sets the area on fire. This
time, it will be Ohnoki provide support alongside Raikage. Avoid the falling logs and use
your Support Drive when needed to take Madara down -- for a minute or two.
The final part of this fight is a bit different, in that you will have to move around
via sand clouds created by Gaara. Before the action can continue, you must make an
Ultimate Decision:

The Hero Decision is much easier; Tsunade will use the Forbidden Jutsu, which
allows her to regenerate health; however, calling in the reinforcements is not an option.
The Legend option is the exact opposite: the other Kages will assist, but there is no health
regeneration.

Take a second to read the in-game tutorial about movement and attacking. As soon
as the announcer shouts, Go! Chakra Dash to get up close and start unloading with
Tsunades Heaven Spear Kick and close range attacks (if youve chosen the Legend path,
call in support while you do this). After Madaras short dialogue you will be a good
distance away from him. Auto-fire Kunai as you avoid his shots; he telegraphs his swings
to dodging shouldnt be too difficult.
When Madara is on his final energy bar he will create a rain of fireballs. Dodge
these as best as you can as you continue to unload on him. Getting him down to 15%
energy triggers a QTE sequence. Pay attention to those button commands to finish him
off.
After the action subsides, be sure to save your game immediately! Walking around
the area only yields some extra Ryo here and there. Collect it if you want and talk to the
nearby Peddlers to pick up anything you might be missing. Save your game and head up
the hill; there is absolutely no turning back from here, so make sure that you are
absolutely ready to go!
Take a moment to organize your Ninja Tools if you havent already. If possible,
use a Protein Bento to mega-boost your Attack and Defense before starting the battle(s).

KCM Naruto & Killer Bee vs. Six Jinchuriki

10,000 Ryo

Wonder Elixir x3
Bonus:20% Discount Coupon

Rewards (Legend):

30,000 Ryo
Mental Training Memo, Cont. x1
Bonus: True Absorption Studies x1

Before this Mob Battle can begin, Naruto will have to make an Ultimate Decision:
Is it a better idea to split the Jinchuriki into two groups between Naruto and Killer
Bee, or take all six of them on at once? The Hero path is considerably easier than the
Legend choice, as these guys are tough. The downside to choosing the Hero path is that
you will not have Killer Bees support.
It is important to keep your health up as much as you can! If you find that you
have taken too much damage, hit pause and retry the battle from the beginning.
After the battle there will be a long cutscene, followed by an even longer battle.
Get ready!

KCM Naruto & Eight Tails vs. Tobi & Six Tailed Beasts
Battle Conditions:

Win Battle

Bonus Requirements: Keep Health Gauge at 60% or more

Rewards:

10,000 Ryo
Deep Sleep Tag x3

This is probably the hardest fight in the entire game, and having no opportunities
to restore any health lost during the previous skirmish only adds to that.
The first part of this confrontation pits Naruto against the Two Tails and the Three
Tails -- at the same time. Eight Tails will be available for support, so call him in as soon
as you can. Keep moving; use a mid-air Chakra Dash to hit catch up to the beasts and hit
them with a barrage of combos. Try to take out the Two Tails first, as he has a charge
move that does a lot of damage. When hes out of the picture, attack Three Tails with
ground combos. Taking them down will lead into a QTE sequence that will lead into a
cutscene. Take a breath and get ready for the next part of this battle.

When the action resumes, Naruto will square off in a one-on-one Mob Battle
against Tobi. This confrontation should give you absolutely no trouble: Use Substitution
Jutsu when necessary to get behind Tobi and unload with everything youve got. He will
call in the Five and Six Tails before his first energy bar is depleted.

The same strategy from the first Tailed Beast battle. Chakra Dash from above to
land as many air combos as you can, and call Eight Tails as soon as his gauge fills. Take
out Five Tails first, as Six is rather stationary; just avoid the stream of bubbles it will send
out. When Five is out of the picture, hit Six with ground combos until it goes down. With
both Tailed Beasts sidelined, Tobi will jump back in for some more Mob Battle action.
Unload on him until he calls out the Four and Seven Tails.

This is the most difficult (and frustrating) portion of this fight. Four Tails hits hard
from the ground, while Seven Tails launches a full-on airborne attack. Focus on getting
Four out of the picture first, as his ground attacks can be brutal. Call Eight Tails in to do

some damage, and use Substitution Jutsu like its going out of style in order to avoid the
attacks from both Four and Seven. When Four Tails is defeated, catch up to Seven by
using your mid-air Chakra Dash to smash right into its face and hit it with everything you
have (including Eight Tails) or you can spam 'Demon Wind Shuriken' which can cancel
the 7 tails attacks as well as hurt him. When both beasts fall, Tobi will confront Naruto
once again. Beat him up some more to finally end the battle.
Once the battle is over, a series of cutscenes will begin: Now that the Tailed Beasts
have fallen, Nine Tails will finally allow Naruto to use his full power. Naturally, the
Tailed Beasts arent down for the count just yet.
Keep in mind that there is (still) no opportunity to save; however, the game will
automatically create a new checkpoint. Not only that, but you will also have full health
going into The Last Battle.

Kurama-Naruto vs. The Tailed Beasts

Battle Conditions:

Win Battle
Bonus Requirements: Keep Health Gauge at 60% or more

Rewards (Hero):

15,000 Ryo
Secret Book of the Minds Eye x3
Bonus: Chakra Seal Tag: No.3 x3

The Tailed Beasts are back for more! This time, however, you have full control of
Nine Tails, which makes this skirmish much less difficult than the previous round.

You will take the beasts on one after the other in a sort of survival style Mob
Battle. The key to winning is simply to get up close and pummel each opponent into
submission. Each Tailed Beast has a unique attack; dodge the maneuver(s) and unload on
each one to bring the confrontation to an end.

With the Tailed Beasts out of the picture for good this time, a powered-down
Naruto will tackle Tobi head-on.
