The Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange PLC (DSE) wishes to inform the public that the DSE shareholders have, during their 1st Extra-Ordinary General Meeting held on 27th August, 2016, elected
the following as Members of the DSE Board of Directors:

Prof. Mohamed H. Warsame

Mr. Riyaz Takim

Dr. Charles S. Kimei

Dr. Kimei holds BSc in Economics and MA in Economics from Moscow State
University and Stockholm School of Economics respectively. He is also a holder of
PhD (Money & Finance) from Uppsala University Sweden.
He has a vast experience in banking and financial markets. He worked at the with the
Bank of Tanzania (BOT) as a Director of Economic Research & Policy and a Director
of Banking Supervision. He also has experience in Corporate Governance as well as
in Policy Development.
Dr. Kimei is serving in numerous Boards of Directors. He is currently the Managing
Director of CRDB Bank PLC and Chairman of Tanzania Bankers Association.

Mr. Takim holds a BSc. in Economics from University of London -London School of
Economics and Political Science and MSc in Analysis Design and Management
Information Systems from the same University.
Mr. Takim has significant experience in structuring finance for SMEs, Private Equity
and in Development Finance based on his work with Euros East Africa Fund.
He is an Advisory Board Member at Small Enterprise Assistance Funds a USAID
funded project. He is also an independent non-executive Board Director at PLASCO,
United Bank of Africa and Advisory Committee of Kasi Agriventures.

Mr. Ermes Caramaschi

Mr. Jonathan Njau

Mr. Njau is a holder of with LL.B from University of Dar es Salaam and MBA
in Finance from the same University.

Mr. Caramaschi is a holder of BSc in Economics and Finance from Brunel University
London as well as MSc. Finance from Warwick Business School, University of Warwick,
England.

He was the past Chief Executive Officer of the DSE. He has vast experience
in legal, finance, capital markets and Stock Exchange Operations.

He has a vast knowledge and experience in Structuring and Trading Money Market, Equity,
Fixed Income and Financial Derivatives products.

Mr. Njau is currently the Managing Partner at Crest Attorneys undertaking

among other things, advisory services for issuers of securities including IPOs
and listings.

He worked as Portfolio Manager at Citigroup, London and Hong Kong Global Markets
Proprietary Trading Relative Value Group.
Mr. Caramaschi is currently the CEO and Director of E. A. Capital Ltd; a local
stockbrokerage and fund management firm.

Mr. Laurean R. Malauri

Mrs. Judith Kokubanza Ndissi

Mrs. Ndissi holds a BA in Economics, Waynesburg College,

PA, USA; MA Economics, Ohio University, OHIO USA.

Mr. Malauri holds a BA in Industrial Economics from University of Dar es

Salaam and MA in Development Economics from Williams University
U.S.A.

Mrs. Ndissi is a Financial Sector Development Specialist. She

is a Consultant with World Bank Group and for Industrial and
Commercial Bank of China. She was the Director of Financial
Markets at the Bank of Tanzania from 2009 to 2013.

He was a Director at Consolidated Holding Corporation from 2004 to 2008

and a Director at the UN HABITAT Consultative Group for Global Slum
Upgrading Facility from 2004 to 2009.
Mr. Malauri is currently a Chief Executive Officer of ORBIT Securities Co.
Ltd, a local stock brokerage firm.

Prof. Warsame holds a BSc. (Business Administration) from Stuart School of

Busines, Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago, USA; MSc. (Finance) from
University of Strathclyde Glasgow UK and a PhD (Business Administration) from
Morgan State University- Baltimore, Maryland. He is also a Chartered Financial
Analyst (CFA); CPA (T) and has Argus Software Certification.
Prof. Warsame worked as Managing Director/Chief Investment Officer at Onpoint
Africa Holdings, LLC.
He is currently a Chief Executive Officer at Dhow Financial Ltd and an Independent
Director at ICEA Lions Insurance, PLASCO and CRDB Bank (Burundi) and CRDB
Bank PLC.

Mr. Emilian Busara

Mr. Busara is a a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a holder of MBA in
Finance from University of Dar es Salaam.
Mr. Busara is a DSE listed companies active retail investor and he has written
several articles and books on investment in securities.
He is a Board Member at Equality for Growth (EfG) and Committee Member
of Program and Strategy, Risk, Finance & Audit at the World Vision Tanzania.
Mr. Busara is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Management and
Development for Health (MDH).

Mr. Moremi Marwa

Mr. Marwa is the Chief Executive Officer of the DSE. He is a Certified Public Accountant
(CPA), he holds an MBA in Finance and a B.Com in Accounting.
Mr. Marwa has broad experience in financial markets. Prior to joining the DSE, he was the
CEO of Tanzania Securities Limited. He also served in the executive capacity at Ernst &
Young and Deloitte in transactions advisory and corporate finance and had worked with
Barclays Bank and Bank of Africa.
Mr. Marwa is an alumni of Harvard Business School and The Aspen Institute. He serves in the
Boards of Bank of Africa, Victoria Finance Ltd and as a co-opted member at
SELF-Microfinance Ltd. He is also a Sub-committee Chairperson for SADC Stock Exchanges
Association.
