Qualifications BE / B Tech and ME / M Tech in relevant subject with First Class or equivalent. PhD in computer science is mandatory. Specialization in Cloud and exposure to Cloud architecture and mobile technologies is an added advantage.
The post of the Director General is a key position in the administrative
set up of the Institute. He is the head of the administrative section of the Institute. Administration in IIDT focuses on providing support to the academic side of the Institute. The key function of the Director General therefore is to ensure that the vision and mission of IIDT are achieved. The Director General would be responsible to coordinate activities of various centers and schools of the institute. Director General would be required to develop strategies for achieving excellence in the field of academics, research and training activities of the institute. He/ she would also be responsible for developing and nurturing partnerships Age not more than 55 years with institutes of excellence in the world. He/she would be the administrative head of the institute steering it towards the objectives decided by the board. The roles and responsibilities of Director General include (but are not limited to): To provide necessary support to Directors for running/ day-today activities of the Institute. To oversee all sections/ wings of the Institute including Academics, HR, IT, Student Affairs, Finance & Accounts, Stores & Purchase, Library, Operations, Estate & Works, Security, Facilities, Placements and Corporate communications etc. Oversee proper record keeping and digitizing of records. Oversee ERP management. Oversee preparation of agenda, recordings of minutes of the meeting, keeping records of the apex bodies of the Institute, issue of notices for convening of meetings of all committees and sub-committees appointed by any of these authorities, where he/she is secretary. To ensure the adherence of Institute rules and regulations. To be custodian of the records and funds and such other
property of the Institute as the Board may commit to his/ her
charge. Oversee Human Resource Development of Non-teaching employees. This includes recruitment and all HR activities, training, promotions and incentives, which help in attracting and retaining talent. Monitor all legal matters of the Institute. Oversee all compliance related matters. To conduct the official correspondence on behalf of the Institute. To enter into agreement, sign documents and authenticate records on behalf of the Institute. To safeguard the movable and immovable assets of the Institute. To perform other duties as specified in the IIDT Act or as assigned by Board of Governors of the Institute from time to time.
