Cleveland Central Catholic High School

WELCOME TO THE
CLEVELAND CENTRAL
CATHOLIC COMMUNITY
We invite you to become part of the Cleveland Central Catholic
family. Located just minutes from downtown, Cleveland Central
Catholic is a comprehensive, coeducational high school with an
enrollment of 617 students a perfect size for you to receive
individual attention from excellent teachers and to make many new
friends. Selecting a high school is extremely important, because this
is a time in your life when you will explore and develop the talents
that God has given you, building a strong foundation for your future.
Our school is designed for a diverse student body offering honors
classes, financial education, college preparation, special education,
fine arts, service opportunities and more all to prepare you as a
21st Century Leader!
We offer a wide variety of school activities, a strong athletic program, drama and many other clubs.
Through these activities you will learn to lead and prepare to be of service to others. We have a great
campus, our own stadium for football and track, a practice gymnasium, and a beautiful chapel. See our
website to take a virtual tour of our campus. These areas come alive only when they are filled with
students like you who use high school as a time for personal, spiritual, physical and intellectual growth.
Through programs like our partnership with Third Federal Savings and Loan, you may have an
opportunity to earn tuition dollars by performing service in the Slavic Village community. This is just one
way that we work together to make a difference!
Come and see! We invite you to join the Cleveland Central Catholic family where we are A Beacon of
HopePreparing 21st Century Leaders, and where we live the Gospel in faith-filled service.
May our good God bless you today and each day. Go Ironmen and Lady Ironmen!

A HISTORY
THAT RUNS DEEP

Forman

Broadway

Scranton

Tremont

1881
Cleveland Central Catholics educational tradition begins with the desire of immigrant
parishioners from St. Michael and St. Stanislaus Parishes in Clevelands Tremont and
Slavic Village neighborhoods. Our history runs deep in the city.

1969

new chapter begins when the four parish high schools of St. Michael, St. Stanislaus,
A
Our Lady of Lourdes, and St. John Cantius unite to become Cleveland Central Catholic
High School. The four traditions become one!

2006
With closure of three campuses over the years, the Forman Campus undergoes a
25,000 square-foot addition with new classrooms, science lab, meeting rooms, a second
gymnasium, and a chapel dedicated to the patron saints from the founding parishes.

2010

To complete the schools expansions, Cleveland Central Catholic opens for the first
time its own home sports complex. The Ben Stefanski II Stadium and Running Track
open in September through a public-private partnership formed by the Catholic
Diocese of Cleveland, Third Federal Savings and Loan, The Cleveland Browns and
the City of Cleveland.

2013-Present D
ynamic education continues as our enrollment reaches a 25-year high.
A completed strategic plan, the labors of an active advisory board and a
current capital/comprehensive campaign will bring new academic and
career opportunities for our students.

Cleveland Central Catholic is a family, filled with friendship all within a safe loving community. CCC is a
place where you can make long lasting friendships with anyone; the students here stick with you through it
all. I have had three very close friends since my freshman year; they are now my family. The Cleveland Central
Catholic faculty and staff care for you and push you to succeed as if you were one of their own children.
They all want to see you reaching your dreams and going far in life and will do anything to help you get there!
My friends, and the teachers and staff have made this chapter of my life an amazing experience and have
had a huge impact on me. My education at CCC has helped me be ready to set my mark on the world.

What Cleveland Central Catholic

means to me.
Open your eyes, concludes the man,
and see what you can with them before
they close forever. J.T. Salrich

I do it for all those people who cant.

Too many people have died. Sometimes
I think about them and all that they
could have been. I think about my family
being fortunate enough to escape
war-torn Congo and wonder why. Im
not extremely special, I dont have a
secret talent, Im not even very smart
really. Yet, for some reason only known
by God, Im alive when so many others
are not. Anything short of living to the
fullest would be to throw away this life.
Through Cleveland Central Catholic
Ive realized some very important things
about who I am. I have been able to
navigate the confusing, ever-changing
environment that is high school with
grace because of the people I have
been fortunate enough to meet. For me,
Cleveland Central Catholic means that
I can receive a great education from
teachers who can adapt to my specific
learning style in a school that wont bury
my parents in the school fees of four
high school students. Cleveland Central
Catholic means that I can follow my
dreams. It means I can open my eyes
and when they do close forever I will
have had all the best opportunities to
see all I could with them.

Why I Chose CCC

The reason I decided to spend my next

four years of schooling at Cleveland Central
Catholic is because of the schools history
and the graduates Ive met. Before CCC,
I was a student next door at Saint Stanislaus
Elementary. A lot of the students who have
graduated from Cleveland Central Catholic
have gone on to become very successful.
Some of the older graduates that I know have
said many great things about their years here.
I hope that my next four years turn out great
and I can achieve my goals in life and spirit.
