Play - Kanata Norths Mobile Bike Rodeo. Cyclists of all ages will follow a route to parks and schools to increase awareness of safe cycling and the benefits of cycling to school and work. Participants will start at the Beaverbrook Community Centre and stop at interactive activity check points along the way. Learn how to properly use roundabouts, have your bike checked, learn cycling rules, win prizes and more. Registration (start times are staggered to avoid congestion) and info at pedalplay.wordpress.com. KNL LANDS REGISTERED Phase 9 (north of the Beaverpond) and phase 8 (near the new school) have been registered in large blocks. Council has approved a report for a Front Ending Agreement with KNL for the Goulbourn Forced Road. Along that alignment a water main is proposed to be installed now and will be built with the road at the same time. Other development cannot proceed until the Overall Benefit Permit for Endangered Species is received from the province and drainage issues resolved. A report on the Kizell Municipal Drain Watershed is going to Agricultural and Rural Affairs Committee on Oct. 6 th at 10 am (details available on Ottawa.ca). I will provide an update at my October 24 th Town Hall Meeting. CONSTRUCTION OF NEW SIDEWALKS A new asphalt sidewalk is under construction along the east side of Teron from Campeau to the intersection at Beaverbrook and Penfield. A concrete sidewalk is also being built along Campeau from March to the existing sidewalk. The left turn lane from Campeau onto March will be closed Sept. 30 and again if necessary on Oct. 7 so avoid that area when possible.
