Morning Invocations
When you wake up in the morning, you should get up on the right side. Hold both
palms before your eyes, and chant either of the two following mantra:
This is a Morning Prayer call "Karadarshana". One begins the day with this prayer
"kara" means the palm of the hand and it stands for the five Karmendriyas, or the
organs of action. While looking at the palm one invokes the lord in the form of various
deities, thus sanctifying all the actions that will be done during the day, By
acknowledging the Lord as the giver of the capacity to perform actions and as the giver
of the fruits of those actions, one sanctifies the actions. Thus, one prays in the morning
to reinforce the attitude that all actions are performed as a service to the lord.

"Sloka is a Sanskrit word used to denote a prayerful verse written to follow certain
grammatical rules. These prayers are generally directed to specific God or Goddess
such as Ganesha, Shiva, Parvati, etc. Conveying the majesty and omnipotence of God,
the slokas portray vivid descriptions of different forms of God and their Divine powers.
Anyone who chants these powerful verses and invokes the appropriate God (Goddess)
forms mentally will be able to achieve a steady and peaceful mind full of devotion.
Bhagawan also explained in one of His Divine Discourses (September 1998) the
importance of slokas in practicing Naamasmarana. He said, "I always begin My
Discourse with a poem or a sloka and conclude it with a bhajan. Do you know what
they are? The first poem or sloka is like a plate. The Discourse can be compared to
various delicious items that are served on the plate, and the bhajan in the end is like a
plate covering the delicious items. Do not treat this a Mandhu (Telugu word for
medicine), thereby taking a little. Treat this as a Vindhu (banquet) and partake of the
delicious items I serve to the maximum extent. Experience and enjoy this banquet."
The nine forms or types of Bhakti, viz., (1) Shravana (Hearing); (2) Kirtana (Praying);
(3) Smarana (Remembering); (4) Padasevana (resorting to the feet); (5) Archana
(Worship); (6) Namaskara (Bowing); (7) Dasya (Service); (8) Sneham (Friendship); (9)

Gayatri is the mother of the Vedas and is the destroyer of sins. There is nothing more
purifying, on the earth as well as in the heaven, than the Gayatri. Gayatri eventually
gives Liberation from the wheel of birth and death. The Gayatri Mantra is the most
universal, non-personal, holy prayer, which can be chanted by any person belonging to
any country, irrespective of race, religion or sex. This Gayatri Mantra chanted 108
times or at least 54 or 28 times everyday brings great Moksha or kalyana. One should
thus perform Sandhya - Vandana with this Gayatri Mantra three times everyday, in the
morning, noon and evening. It is the Gayatri Mantra alone that can be commonly

Om Sri Sai Koti Koti Koti Pranaam
Om Sri Sai Koti Koti Koti Pranaam
Om Sri Sai Koti Koti Koti Pranaam
O BHAGAWAN I rise now from the womb of slumber. Before I plunge into the day's
routine, let me decide here and now that whatever will be done by me shall all be for
Thee, the indweller of my Heart and the Lord of the Whole Universe All that I talk, all
that I think, plan and aspire, all that I do and all that I offer as ablutions in the sacrificial
fire - let them all be pure and sinless Let me not do anything, which would inflict pain
on others; and likewise, let not anyone else inflict pain on me. Oh Lord be kind and
protect me thus
O Lord Take my life and let it be consecrated to thee
Take my love and let it flow in fullness of devotion to Thee
Take my heart and let it be filled with overflowing love for Thee
Take my hands and let them work incessantly for Thee
Take my soul and let it be merged in one with Thee
Take my body and let it be in devotion dedicated to Thee

Take everything of mine and let me be an instrument to work

O Lord Swami, I pray that I'll be an instrument in Thy Hands. I am only an instrument
in Your hand, BHAGAWAN. I do not take credit for anything. I submit this life unto
Thy Hands, My Lord.
O Lord, I submit my life unto Your Hands as an instrument for the fulfilment of your
mission, O God Make use of me. Thy will be done of Earth as it is in Heaven.
I am much pleased with your darshan. Ever be kind and merciful to me and protect me
always. There is no other God to me in this world except Your Feet. Let my mind be
ever rapt in Your Bhajan and Feet. Let your grace protect me from the miseries of the
world and let me ever chant your name and be happy.
Oh Lord, because of You, Your Ichcha Shakthi (Will Power), Jnana Shakthi (Spiritual
Knowledge Power) and Kriya Shakthi (Action Power) I can get this name and fame.
Hence I offer everything at your holy feet. Please forgive me, lead me, guide me
forever. I am always yours, kindly never forsake me. I Shall not die but live and declare
the works of our beloved lord.
Dena Bandoo Dena Nath Meri Dori Theera Hath. Oh Sai Maa, Dhaya Karo, Kirpa
Karo, Raksha Karo, Shama Karo. Raahem Karo Baba.
"Oh BHAGAWAN I offer the fruits of my labour. I offer the results and the rewards of
my endeavour and all my pursuits. Let them be pleasing unto You Let them be
acceptable to You."
O Lord let my Sight See what is good (Samyak Drishti)
O Lord let my Ears Hear what is good (Samyak Sravanam)
O Lord let my Tongue Speak what is good (Samyak Vak)
O Lord let my Thoughts be good (Samyak Bhavam)
O Lord let my Scenes be good (Samyak Kriya)
O Lord let my Actions be good (Samyak Karma)
Do not forsake us Swami in our hour of need.

Swami who so ever tries to cause Me Harm, Hurt or Pain through, Thoughts Words or
Action Please Forgive Them.
There should not be inferiority complex and feed the mind always with positive
suggestions viz., 'OM I will always Win!', 'OM I will not fail in this life', 'OM I am a
Winner, OM I am going for Win Win Win, 'OM I will see and seek God', 'OM I have
infinite power within' Om I am Healtly and Wealthy. etc. Always encourage your

Chosen Deity in all and consider your work as worship.
Thasmai Namah Karmane
Offer your prayers to the God of action so that He makes us perform noble deeds that
are beneficial for one and all and lead to world Peace.
It is very rare that the God reveals His views. But, once Swami expresses His views we
should follow it without any questioning attitude.
