Why Generation Wow?

A relationship with Generation WOW is a visible and demonstrable
statement in the belief that unlocking the potential of our youth,
particularly young women, is to our collective betterment. Its about
creating opportunities that help build the future leaders of the world
by exposing them to the leaders of today. The goal of Generation
WOW is to provide a trusted and inspiring experience that will forge
relationships, inspire dreams, and deliver results that will enhance lives.

The Event
A dynamic and thought provoking program consisting of speakers and
panels designed to build self-esteem and empower young women as
they take the world head on with confidence and conviction.
Will be hosted at University of North Florida, on Wednesday November
2nd 2016, in the afternoon.
Targeting 400 high school girls and a wonderful group of women
leaders of varying backgrounds and professions who will participate in
a unique mentoring experience.
The Geraldine Mentor Walk founded by Geraldine Laybourne, a
leading advocate on behalf of girls, and hosted in over 40 countries,
is an opportunity to build intergenerational connections and provide
access to a mentor network for the future.

Programming Specifics
A diverse, energetic, and thoughtful group of presenters are brought
together for a 2-hour session that includes the following topics:

The signature event of Generation WOW is a unique experience that will

pair established women leaders and the young women attendees to
walk together on a designated path. The focus is to meet the students
where they are to build a bond that can transcend and grow in the effort
to teach the skills that will enhance connection and confidence. It is an
opportunity to highlight the importance of womens leadership, and
to accelerate the impact of women leaders through intergenerational
connections.

A Growing Movement
As Generation WOW has grown from that first afternoon in 2013 with 285
girls, we continue developing the year-round impact of the program
with innovative and creative ways to educate the leaders of tomorrow
through strategic partnerships with leading non-profits and educational
organizations, like City Year, an AmeriCorps program, and Rick Singer,
founder of The Key, a private life coaching and college counseling
company.

Student-Led School Clubs

Beginning with the 2016-17 school year, six northeastern Florida high
schools will begin monthly WOW Club meetings designed to empower
girls by providing opportunities to form honest connections with
each other through mentorship, service-based projects, personal
exploration, and leadership development.

Quarterly Programs
Offering relevant and engaging sessions on personal finance, college
admissions and other life skills, our quarterly programs allow girls to
dive deep into topics that will keep them on the path to success.

WOWSDOM
In response to the success of Letters to My Future and Younger Self
presented each year, the forthcoming book, WOWSDOM: Your Guide
to the Positive and Possible, will provide girls a personal workbook
and journal to fully explore the depths of their potential.
