BIT OBJECTIVES
1. To develop quality skilled technicians and professional technologist in their chosen field of
specialization (Automotive and Electrical Technology) as agents in attaining the national
objectives
(NIC-hood status).
2. To promote a responsive, morally, culturally and globally competitive professional and
leaders.
3. To equip students with knowledge and skills necessary for technical vocational instruction,
entrepreneurship and industrial and service shop management.
4. To elevate the morale of manual labor by educating the youth with quality technological
education
and skills development and;
5. To provide students with adequate industrial training and seminars to cope with the rapid
changes in technology.

Course Description:
This course deals with installation, maintenance and repair of electrical appliances in
domestic, commercial and industrial and establishments using basic engineering tools, electrical
and mechanical testing instruments.
General Objective
To understand the principle of operation of electrical appliances.
Specific Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Give the students a working knowledge on the principles, design and construction of
Transformers.
2. Design and assemble water heater
3. Repair motor driven appliances
