Aims: By the end of the lesson students will be able to:
Cognitive:
- talk about animals and express feelings about them;
- classify animals into domestic, wild animals and pets;
- describe animals using the vocabulary taught;
- read correctly the lesson and vocabulary taught.
Affective:
- create interest in the topic;
- stimulate their imagination;
- be confident in them when speaking a foreign language.
Approaches: Communicative and Discovery Approach
Techniques: Brainstorming, Elicitation, Oral Drill Activities, Description,
Conversation, Drawing, Anticipation
Materials: Textbook, Blackboard, Movie-clips (Old McDonald Had a Farm),
Flashcards;

Stage of lesson

Teacher begins the lesson with a small talk
and asks ss if they are ready for the lesson.

Each group is going to give examples of


animals related to one topic: wild animals,
farm animals, pets. Students have to name
one animal related to the topic and to pass
the bomb. The teacher presents the rules of
the game Pass the bomb! Students who give
a wrong answer or repeat the words have to
be punished: they have to mime the
following actions:
swim like a fish;
fly like a bird;
see things far away like a giraffe;
climb trees like a monkey;
waddle like a penguin;
hop like a rabbit;
jump like a frog;
prowl like a tiger;
