Reaction Paper
To begin with an end in mind means to starts with a clear understanding of
your destination , it means to know where you going so that you better understand
were you now. A quotation presented by Dr. Sta. Maria. His first slide was a picture
of an animal school. The teacher at the picture wants to give an exam on his
students. The problem presented was that the animals have different abilities which
other animals cannot perform. That concludes that the teacher did not plan the
examination. He also tackled the different assessments. Assessment for Learning :
Formative Assessment, Assessment As Learning: Evaluation , Assessment of
Learning ; Summative. For the first assessment he emphasize that the students
must involve in ongoing assessment that will promote further improvement on their
learning process. Next the assessment as learning ,by the use of lesson plan, last
was assessment of learning , learning how to make judgement by the students. The
last part was the K-12 DEP-Ed Basic Education Curriculum on which the latter was
using KPUP ( Knowledge, Process, Understanding and Product) that now the
teachers were not using. He also introduce the Revised blooms Taxonomy on which
he categorize the three as lower order thinking (remembering, understanding),
higher order thinking ( Analyzing, evaluating) and last was creating. He also said
that 21st century includes ( creativity, critical thinking, media literacy,
communication, collaboration and information technology) that I was agree because

presentations but she shared a lot about the differences between a DLL( Daily
Lesson Log) and DLP ( Detailed Lesson Plan),that the DLL was only used by the
teachers who were in more than 1 year of experience on making a DLP. Also she
shared the parts, elements of a lesson Plan. The Methods and Strategies to use
since she emphasized that todays generation is very different. That we need to
make an effective strategies to catch students attention such as Wrap Up
Activities. Making a reflection on the DLL that sometimes was very hard to make
because there was no further real life application on the lesson especially
mathematics subject. Features of K-12 that pointing a Spiral Progression on which

K-12 was on the philosophy of Constructivism on which the learner as active
constructor of knowledge while the former curriculum was on the philosophy of
Perennialism a teacher centered classroom. I have enjoyed the seminar and I have
learned a lot though it was already thought in some subjects it was different
because it gained through experiences.
