Capturing and spreading financial statements and calculating financial ratios are key processes
in credit risk management. The Financial Spreading module offers a comprehensive feature set
for collecting, spreading and analyzing financial statement data, including but not limited to
balance sheets, profit and loss statements and cash flow statements. Using fully configurable
financial spreading templates, the software can calculate financial ratios no matter the
complexity and generate financial analysis reports. These reports can include peer-group
analysis to compare counterparties with similar companies in the same market or industry.

Financial Spreading module: Web-based application for financial and credit analysts to analyze
financial statement data and financial ratios
Centralized collection and management of
financial data
All native and derived financial statement
data is stored in a centralized database. This
includes financial statements that have been
captured by analysts using the web front-end
and statements that have been imported
from external data sources. The Financial
Spreading module can support all types of
financial templates and data whether
statements are captured under IFRS, USGAAP or other local GAAPs, or the company
reported them under different currency and
measurement units.

Calculation of financial ratios

Financial ratios, such as profitability ratios
or liquidity ratios, are automatically
calculated from balance sheet and income
statement data.
The results of the financial statement
analysis are used in further rating systems
(e.g. to measure credit risk according to the
Basel IRB approach), as well as in credit
underwriting/origination processes.
