Bingo Night Fall Activities
Come join us Friday, October 14th for Bingo and fun, fall
activities. The fun will be from 5:30 8:00. There will
be bingo, pumpkin painting, face painting, and so much
more! Contact PTO if you are available to help that

This Week in School

Math- Multiplication with tens and review for math test on
Friday, October 7th.
Reading- Answer questions from an Informational text,
referring to the text for evidence, compare and contrast
stories written by the same author about the same
characters
Writing- Use dialogue and descriptions of actions, thoughts,
and feelings to show characters responses in a narrative story;
develop and strengthen writing as needed by planning, revising,
and editing
Grammar: Identify and use vivid verbs
Science: How does heat travel? Conduction, convection,
radiation
Social Studies: Greece: Review

Math Facts Game Time

This Friday, October 7th, is the last day to
earn math facts game time for October 14th.
Students who have passed subtraction 3 test
or higher will be eligible for game time.
PLEASE PRACTICE MATH FACTS NIGHTLY!

Reading Bingo Boards - Students may begin
turning in the Orange Bingo Boards to
teachers on October 10th. If you have not
received the orange board, make sure you
complete the Red Bingo Board ASAP.

3rd Grade Curriculum Night PLEASE JOIN US
Thursday, October 6th at 5:45 the 3rd grade teachers
will host curriculum night in the library. Please come out
and join us and learn all about what we are doing in 3rd
grade. We look forward to seeing you all there. Prizes
for students who have parents attend curriculum night.

Collect box tops - Students name goes in raffle for $100

gift card to Academy Sports, $50 Wal-Mart Card and a $25
Kroger card, ends October 21st , the students name goes
in every time 25 box tops are turned in

Math Math Sheet - one page of the skills we are working
on each week (Due Friday)
Spelling Homework Begins this week! Spelling tests will
be given each Friday. The words for this week are: quick,
fine, twice, write, might, right, bright, why, try, shy, always,
like, off, than, things
RAH Log (Read at Home) - Complete RAH log each night
Monday through Thursday, recommendation is 15-20
minutes. Record the books read on RAH Log in T.E.A.M.
Binder.
MAH (Math at Home) - Initial agenda, complete math facts
practice each night Monday through Thursday,
recommendation is 5-10 minutes math facts practice.
