CLIFF ACTIVITY- Learning Organization and System Thinking


1. SYSDYNA students are required to watch the movie, The Red Cliff (I and II). A copy can
be downloaded from YouTube.
2. EACH STUDENT is to choose a character to be analyzed using the following questions as
guide:
a. What discipline/s of a learning organization does the character exhibit in the
movie? Explain.
b. What learning disabilities were manifested by the character and what are the
consequences of these learning disabilities?
c. How did the character live the laws of the fifth discipline? What learning
disabilities were manifested in living the said law/s? Cite examples.
d. What major lesson/s did you learn on how to adapt systems thinking and be a
part of a learning organization?
e. How do you plan to apply what you have learned in (d) in your own life. Please
discuss in NOT LESS THAN 20 sentences.
3. The paper will comprise 40% of the students grade for Quiz 1.
4. Paper should be typewritten (1 margin all sides, letter size 8.5x11 bond paper, font
12, Arial or Times New Roman or Calibri font type) with your name as header on every
page. Please try to make your paper interesting to read and be innovative in your
presentation. You may add pictures, comic strips, etc. or other features in your paper
that will engage your reader to read the paper. Additional points will be given to papers
that are presented in an innovative and interesting way.
5. Paper will have to be submitted on 19 October 2016 on or before end of the class
period that day in my pigeonhole at the DSI Office. Late submission is not allowed.
6. Be prepared to present your report in class when called upon in our next meeting. At
least 3 STUDENTS will be selected randomly.
