patientrecordsandpreparingclaims.Manytermsarefamiliar,especiallytoexperiencedindividuals.Newdentists
andstaff,however,maynotbeasfamiliarandovertimenewtermscomeintouseandoldtermsarerevisedfor
clarity.
TheADA'sCouncilonDentalBenefitProgramshasincludedaglossaryofdentalclinicalandadministrativeterms
ineacheditionoftheCDTmanual.AlthoughglossaryinformationintheprintedCDTManualservesalegitimate
purpose,theonlineversionoftheGlossaryhastheadvantageofbeingreadilyupdated.Thisonlineglossary
containstheCouncil'smostcurrentsetoftermsanddefinitions.ContentisbasedontheCDT20112012glossary,
