o Investigated the reliability of cloud computing system by proposing a model using Markov models,
queuing theory, graph theory, and Bayesian analysis.
o Developed a mobile cloud computing system for iPhone and iPad users under the VGrADS
(Virtual Grid Application Development Software) project sponsored by NSF.
o Investigated the consequence oriented self-healing and autonomous diagnosis for improving
computing systems and software reliability.

o Improved the case-based reasoning system for software cost estimation from the perspective of

o This module introduces students to the fundamental concepts of quality and basic techniques in
quality engineering. Covered topics include measures and interpretation of variation, control
charts, process capability analysis, and acceptance sampling.
