Generally, traditional medicine is the pre- scientific medicine used by certain custom. It is
different from modern medicine where modern medicine is a procedure derives from scientific
studies. Based on the history, many traditional remedies eventually became modern medicine
after investigating. Most of the giant medicine company constantly looking for new drugs and
they are usually very sensitive to these alternative and traditional medicine. In my opinion, Im
not agree with this statement where people strong belief in traditional medicine and relies
strongly on it. This is because even the traditional medicine will help to cure in a natural way, but
not all of the traditional medicine is really effective. We can make the traditional medicine as the
second choice if we cant cure our illness. In this essay, I will discuss about the benefits of
modern medicine.
One of the benefits of the modern medicine is, it is quite effective and react faster rather
than the traditional medicine. Modern medicines are tested scientifically and are proved to work
for sure. They are also found out to be a success. In addition, modern medicine use the advanced
equipment, such as syringes, drugs mechanical, surgical instruments, computer technology and
so on, which are said to be able to detect and treat a variety of diseases faced by patients quickly.
So, I think It's easier to take a pill, rather than wait for a miracle.
Secondly, the modern medicine is highly flexible. As we know, nowadays people are live
in a high technology of life where we can know most all of the thing in this world through the
internet. Patients can go online and post some of their key symptoms and then get some
treatment suggestions based on what they posted. People also can get recover from their house
when they suffered minor injuries by using their medical aid. So, modern medicine is highly
flexible and its the easiest way for the patients to recover.
Last but not least, the modern medicine can prevent incurable diseases. If doctors find a
sickness very early, they can suspend a spread of illness. Then, the doctors give suitable
medicines to patients which help to recover from a disease. In the world there are great amount
of remedy which is given to treat for a specific sickness. For example, if a person falls ill with an
influenza, he must take an aspirine. So, with modern medicine it can prevent incurable diseases.
As I can conclude, both modern and traditional medicines have their own advantages and
disadvantages. People cannot only relies on one of the medicine because both are important to
balance our life. Some of the traditional medicine can be used in order to cure some of the illness
and same goes to the modern medicine but some of them cannot cure the illness. So, make one of
them our second choice if the alternative we choose cant help us and dont only relies on one of
the type of the medicine.
