Fellow campus journalist:

Greetings from the regional office!

The College Editors Guild of the Philippines (CEGP) is the oldest, broadest and only-existing
alliance of tertiary student publications in the Asia-Pacific region. It has over 750 student
publications as members from more than 500 schools in 68 out of 78 provinces and cities nationwide.
CEGP-NIR, its regional formation in Negros, holds the responsibility to strengthen the bond of NIR
student publications and to guide the guilders in grasping its patriotic and democratic orientation.
It is in this context that we would like to invite your respective publication to ASDANG 2016: The 1st
Negros-Wide Student Press Convention for this academic year with the theme The Awakening:
Challenge the Millennial to Stop Apathy through Campus Journalism on August 21, 8:00am
5:00pm at Binalbagan Catholic College, Negros South Road, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental.
Through this event, the discussions include the orientation of the Guild, our common problems, the
promotion of better relations to our neighbouring pubs here in Negros, the analysis of the Negros
political and economic situation and more.
The program and details for the said event are attached with this invitation. The regular registration
