One of the requirements of the TDS CPC program is to provide custom reports and
dashboards to various types of users in different formats available for operational
purposes. Cognos BI Professional has been chosen as the technology stack for delivering
the operational reports and dashboards.
First phase of the project involves migration of the legacy data from various source
systems, transformation and loading through Data Stage.
The second phase included analysis of report requirement, mapping of report fields to
the database, in development, testing, production environments, accessing the database
in views to comply with the norms of keeping information of client as secured by creating
reports in Cognos.

Role: Design and development of Cognos reports and:

Assemble and format all kinds of content by dragging-and-dropping, filtering,

modifying and arranging layout, adding colors and text and personalizing widgets.
Change display, add calculations, prompt, drill up and down and sort data with
more advanced dashboard capabilities.

Creating prompt pages using Java Script, for displaying input and output
parameters.
Created all kinds of reports like List, Crosstab and Chart.
Created Master Detail Reports according to client requirements.
Created Conditional Formatting Reports according to client requirements.
Analysis of the specifications provided by the clients.

The IRAMS system is a web based tool which allows easy access to information on current
and past incidents within the BT networks, enabling Incident Management Centers to create
and manage reports on incidents occurring on any of BTs major platforms. It also enables
Customer Facing Teams the ability to view the customer and service impact of an incident
within minutes of a report being created on the system to aid prioritization of repair and give
more accurate and timely responses to customer enquiries during an incident.
