Oct. 10, Mon - Ministry Team Meeting, 6 p.m., Board of Elders Meeting at 7 p.m.
Thanks for your prayers for these meetings. If you have questions, encouragement,
suggestions, etc. for our church, or if you have something you'd like to discuss or present
at one of these meetings, please share that with the ministry team. Your input is
welcomed.
Oct.12, Wed.-JGA, JBA and Jr. Youth will meet at Bowmansville Mennonite. The
theme for the evening for JGA and JBA is Fall Fun at 7 p.m. Please wear warm
clothing! Jr. Youth will be going to a Corn Maze. Please meet at the church at 6:30
p.m. They plan to return by 8:30 p.m. The cost will be $10.
Oct.19, Wed.-District Sewing Circle- Are you looking for a hands on way to help
relief efforts by MCC? Join us at Bowmansville in the morning and afternoon.
Bring a favorite food dish to share as part of our buffet luncheon. MCC urgently needs
relief and hygiene kits. Due to multiple situations of crisis around the world such as in
Syria, Iraq and Ukraine, have depleted MCCs warehouse inventory. Our special
project for MCC this month is hygiene kits, consisting of the following items:1 adult
size toothbrush, 1 large bar bath soap, 1 fingernail clipper (good quality), 1 hand towel
(dark color).The items are placed in a useful cloth drawstring bag which are provided
by sewing circle and delivered to MRC in Ephrata.
Oct. 25, Tues.-Lancaster MEDA Chapter Breakfast-7:30-8:45 p.m. at Southern
Market Center, 100 S Queen Street, Lancaster. Get to know MEDAs M-sawa project

Oct. 29, Sat.- Join us at 7 p.m. for a Coffee House for a Cause packing shoe boxes for
Operation Christmas Child. A sign up sheet for donations is located in the narthex.
Empty shoe boxes are also needed.
Nov. 19, Sat.- New York City Bus Trip-sponsored by Hinkletown Mennonite School.
Travel by charter bus and make your own plans. Register by October 20-$50 per
person/After Oct 20-$60 per person. Leave at 6:30 a.m. and returning by 10 p.m. For

-We want express gratitude to you as a congregation for the cards, gifts and words
of kindness as we are settling into our new home & neighborhood in Ohio. Thank you
especially for the gift of a camping weekend with the GMC congregation in 2017. We
look forward to camping with you at Spruce Lake Retreat. We just returned from a
two-week vacation out West where we saw the Badlands, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons,
and other attractions in Utah and Colorado. John's sister, Rhoda traveled with us. We
