COMPLAINT OR SYMPTOM:
Traction motor leaks oil around counterbalance spool caps (Figure #1 - Item 1).
SITUATION:
Oil leaks around counterbalance spool cap and upon inspection it is found the O-ring is eroded.
SOLUTION:
A new style counterbalance spool cap and O-ring are now available. The new design cap ensures the O-ring
fits tightly in the O-ring groove and eliminates the potential of O-ring erosion. The new cap number is
F436020 and the O-ring is F436021.
Starting with the units that are listed, the new style counterbalance plug is used.
