JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Thinker and policy deployment expert across the Organization for Purchasing and
supply chain processes
Develop ; Establish; Sustain and support Supply Chain Strategy with domain knowledge of
Best Purchasing practices for all multibrands business across organisation.
Deploy Correct/desired MIS flow to all Brand Business Leaders and support their business
requirements aligning the
Team's objectives/KPI's with the Supply Chain Teams KPI's.
Should posses a sound knowledge of Warehousing and Distribution; evolving maintenance
of desired Inventory Turnover
Ratio which has a competitive edge over Industry Bench Marking
Draw large Contracts with optimization of Vendor Base across Brands and obtain benefit of
Synergy and economies of scale.
Lead the SCM Team to build Robust Supply Chain; Coach; Mentor; Guide; the Team in a
manner that keeps them self motivated and develop Organizational Objectives in a time
bound fashion.
Very strong Interpersonal Skills required to ensure Congenial atmosphere is maintained in
Cross functional departments.
Should be able to culminate a team culture and cohesive binding between; Warehousing;
Planning and Purchasing team.
Ensure Cost Reductions @7%SDC (Straight Direct Costs) for Annual procurement Value.
Play a Strategic role in keeping VP SCM informed about Market fluctuations on
Commodities; Confectionery; Provisions
and Packaging Items by maintaining a WPI Tracking information which would contribute in
taking strategic decisions.
Develop and establish process to ensure that Monthly closing of SCM is reported to Finance
including the Purchasing Spent/Logistics Cost & Warehousing Costs by 2nd of every month
for the previous Month.
Stringent checks and controls to be developed for Quarterly Vendor Reconciliations to drive
home the P&L closing on an ongoing basis.
Use Performance excellence tools to achieve business targets against AOP's and maximize

efficiencies in all areas of SCM.


Develop Internal measuring process of Costs variations and COS/COSV Business Impact
due to dynamic change in Prices and come-up with a damage control plan to meet AOP's
Required to use an out of the Box thinking approach to meet targets and excell in the same.
Operations
o Ensure & Plan with his team the Supply Chain Operations in a manner that there are no
Stock Outs and Surplus at PAN India Level.
o Co-ordinate with Planning and Strategy for NSO requirements & with his team and Product
development for New Products Launches in a smooth transition manner.
o Develop process with operations to track and service NPL Consumption and service the
same in a flawless manner maintaining appropriate Inventory
o Monitor Stock Consumptions
o Sourcing & Vendor Optimization by standardization
o Ensure Cost Reductions
o Develop meaningful MIS
o Implement RFQ process
o Schedules for Pull System
o Measure Quality Assurance at all Levels in SCM

Staff Development
o Develop Team members and impart training
o Organize effective trainings in Domain Knowledge and Process Innovations.
o To motivate team members by involving oneself in addressing the bottleneck resolution up
to staff level.
o Internal Customer Service Satisfaction
o Meet Internal Customer Requirements by way of Defining and maintaining regular
Customer Supplier agreements.
o Management Checks and Controls

o P&L Closing on an ongoing basis.

DESIRED PROFILE :

o Qualification : Engineer /MBA with Post graduate in Materials Management


o Experience : 10 to 15 years as a Materials head for Hotel /Food Retail Industry.
o Strong Sourcing knowledge for both National and International Market.
o Should have a proven track record of Vendor development and process innovations to adopt
best purchasing practices.
o Excellent in Sourcing and Vendor optimization
o Strong Inter personal skills required as the position shall be responsible to co ordinate
with Product Development Teams/ Operations/ Warehousing / Distribution and QA teams.
o Must have hands on experience on MRP or should have worked on MM module in any
Software.
o On hands experience in relevant area of SCM.
o Die hard approach and able to sustain pressures.
o Should have thorough knowledge of Sourcing Food Commodities and allied items like
Packaging and Consumer able including CAPEX and Project Items
o Strong Negotiation Skills and Strategic Communication Skills to obtain Vendors
Confidence to Convert the Buyer Supplier Relationships into Strategic Business
Relationships.
o Should be well versed with market dynamics/ Strategic M&A updates and factors affecting
the Organisations SCM Prospective.
o Should wear an ownership cap whilst reducing Costs and working on eradication
/elimination of extra costs within the system.
o Seasoned Matured and should posses pragmatic decision making abilities.
