Chip the floor surface and remove dust.

Clean the floor surface with high pressure of water.
Apply Hyposeal 1st coat & keep it 24 hours.
After that apply 2nd coat of Hyposeal & keep it 24 hours.
Apply Hyposeal 3rd coat & keep it 24 hours.
Again apply 4th coat of Hyposeal keep 24 hours.
Apply the 1st coat of Baralastic at the corners & keep glass coat net & apply Baralastic

HYPOSEAL
Preparation
All surfaces should be washed with a high-pressure water jet at a pressure of at least 100 bars to
ensure through scouring and rewetting of the concrete.
Pre-cast concrete requires at least 200 bars. Hypo seal should not be applied to an extremely
smooth surface.
Mixing
Hyposeal super should be mixed with clean water at the rate of 10 12 liters for 25 Kg bag
using a slow speed electrical mixer ensuring the slurry is free from lumps. Add the powder to
the water.
Application
Hyposeal is applied by special brush or spray equipment to through cleaned and saturated
surfaces, at the rate 1.0 kg /m2 for vertical application.
Hyposeal should not be applied if the temperature is likely to fall below 5 oC during or within
24 hours of application. Application to lean concrete should allow sufficient time for the Hypo
seal to achieve initial set before placing the concrete. Oil based formwork release agent are not
to be used as this will effect the bonding of Hypo seal to the concrete.
Curing
Surface treated with Hypo seal and sect exposed is to be kept damp for at least 3 days after
application.
This can be achieved by periodically spraying with water by covering the surface with
polythene sheet, Wet sand or gunnysacks.
Back filling with moist soil may commence 36 hours after application.

BARRA LASTIC
Flexible polymer water proofing cement
Description
Barralastic is a two parts, pre-packed system, consisting of a liquid polymer as part and a premixed powder as part B. The parts on the mixing yield brush able, smooth slurry with excellent
bond most substrates.
Usage
Barralastic is designed to be used as an effective waterproofing membrane on the variety of
substrates. Applications include:

Water proof coating to the internal faces of water tanks, sumps, reservoirs, planter boxes
Etc

Treating terraces, balconies, kitchen & toilets floors as a sandwich treatment to prevent
Water ingress.

Treating bridge & flyover decks before wearing course to protect concrete from rainwater ingress

Chip the roof slab surface and clean.

Fill the pits and level the surface.
Apply Bituprime with brush.
Apply Roofseal (polymer modified membrane) by torch welding method.
Apply Jointseal-C for joints
Apply aluminum beading end of the Roofseal on the guard wall of roof.
Apply Jointseal-C to there.
Keep 3 days for ponding test to check if there is any leakage.

CHAPTER 10

BITUPRIME
Description
Cold applied universal bituminous primer formulated with select petroleum solvents. The
highly flexible bitumen ensures proper penetration in to surface pores and prepares the
substrate to accept subsequent waterproof coatings.
Uses
As a primer for concrete asphalt, brick and metal surfaces.
For moisture resistance treatment.
Application
Apply uniformly with brush, roller squeegee or airless spray over dry, clean surfaces.

ROOFSEAL
Roofseal is a prefabricated polymer modified bitumen membrane designed for economy and
easy applications.
Uses
ROOFSEAL membrane is ideal for a wide range of waterproofing applications including roofs,
basements, tunnels, car parks and reservoir.
Application
ROOFSEAL is installed by torch welding method, loose-laid or fully bonded to substrate.
When loose-laid, only laps are bonded together. Peripheries and protrusions are sealed
according to specifications.

JOINTSEAL -C
Description
Cold-applied, plasto-elastic rubber bitumen sealant. Provides a highly flexible bond & absorbs
high levels of movement stresses.
Uses
Ideal for sealing and water proofing joints or cracks in concrete and asphalt surface.
Can be used for roof flashing, counter flashing and roof tile joints.
Application
Apply with uniformly with trowel, putty knife or standard sealant gun or pressure equipment.
The sealant should be applied flush with the surface.
