1. Descriptive
Pengertian
Teks descriptive adalah teks yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan
sebuah objek nyata (orang, tempat ataupun hal lainnya).
Tujuan
Memberikan informasi kepada pembaca mengenai ciri-ciri seseorang,
benda atau tempat tertentu secara detail agar pembaca merasa seolaholah melihat sendiri objek yang digambarkan tersebut.
Struktur Teks
Pengenalan/Identification : ciri-ciri seseorang, benda atau tempat
tertentu yang akan dideskripsikan,
Deskripsi/Description : menggambarkan ciri-ciri seseorang, benda atau
tempat tersebut dengan lebih detail dan khusus (seperti bentuk,
ukuran, warna, dsb.)
Contoh Descriptive Teks
My Small House
I live in a small house. It has five rooms: there are two bedrooms, a
living room, a bathroom, and a kitchen. Indeed it is a small house; but I
like living in here for wasting my spare time.
When the door is open, I can see the living room. It is so small with
only three chairs and a table, nothing else. I prefer reading a novel in this
room.
My bedroom is in the left side of the living room. In this room there is
a night table next to the bed, a TV, a radio, and a computer. When being
bored of reading, I usually play online games, chat with my friends via
Facebook and so on.
Next to my bedroom is my mother's. I do not know what is inside
because I never come in to see it. In the right side of the living room there
is the kitchen. In the kitchen I have everything I need when I get hungry. It
is very pleasure when my mother cooks, the smell fills my whole house.
I know it is a very small house; but it is the best place I have ever
seen.
2. Procedure

Tujuan

Memberi petunjuk kepada pembaca untuk melakukan sesuatu melalui

5. Then, to taste Pour the sugar water, put ice cubes and put
milk on ice fruit.
6. Last, put the decorations on the glass with a piece of
strawberry on it.

Recount
Pengertian
Teks yang menceritakan kembali kejadian yang telah terjadi, dengan
menggunakan keterangan waktu yang jelas pada masa lampau
Tujuan

Untuk menceritakan kembali suatu kejadian, peristiwa atau kegiatan di

masa lampau kepada pembaca, dengan tujuan memberitakan ataupun
menghibur
Struktur Teks
Pendahuluan/Orientation (memberi informasi mengenai tokoh pelaku atau
benda yang terlibat di dalamnya)
Rangkaian peristiwa yang terjadi (biasanya disampaikan secara
urut)/Event
Kesimpulan dari rangkaian peristiwa yang terjadi/Reorientation (tidak
harus selalu ada pada teks Recount)

because there were some motorcycles that
blocked up her motorcycle.
She tried to move all of the motorcycles, so that her motorcycle
could move from the garage. But she couldnt do it.
Then, she called Adel who had that motorcycle which blocked it up.
After that, her friend who had that motorcycle helped her. Finally, she
could move her motorcycle and rode it to go to campus.

4. Report
Pengertian
Teks Report hampir sama dengan Descriptive, namun di teks Report ini
lebih memberikan gambaran umum tidak sedetail Descriptive.
Tujuan
Untuk memberikan informasi kepada pembaca mengenai suatu hal apa
adanya, sebagai hasil pengamatan sistematis atau analisis.

 Klasifikasi umum/General classification (pengenalan fenomena atau

benda yang akan dibicarakan dengan pernyataan umum)
Deskripsi/Description (uraian atau gambaran bagian-bagian yang
umum)

ABOUT PENGUINS
Penguins are a group of flightless aquatic birds living almost exclusively in
the Southern
Hemisphere,
particularly
in Antarctica. Highly adaptive to live in the sea,
penguins
have countershaded dark
and
white feather, and their wings have evolved
into flippers. Most penguins feed squid, fish, and
other forms of sealife caught while they are
swimming underwater. They spend about half of
their lives in the oceans.
Eventhough all penguin species are native to the
Southern Hemisphere, they don not live only in
cold climates, such as Antarctica. In fact, only a little species of penguin live
too far south. Some species are found in the temperate area, and one
species, the Galpagos penguin, lives not too far with the equator.
The vast living species is the emperor penguin (Aptenodytes forsteri): when
they are adults they are about 1.1 m (3 ft 7 in) tall and 35 kg weight or more.
The smallest one is the little blue penguin (Eudyptula minor), which is known
as the fairy penguin, which stands around 40 cm height and 1 kg weight.
Among the species of penguin, larger penguins live in colder regions, while
smaller
penguins
generally
inhabit
tropical
climates
places.
Some prehistoric species of penguin attained enormous sizes, becoming as
heavy as an adult human.

5. Narative
Narative
Pengertian
Teks yang menceritakan suatu kejadian mengikuti alur waktu.
Tujuan
Menghibur pembaca dengan kejadian nyata, seolah-olah pembaca
mengalami sendiri kejadian tersebut.

- Pengembangan konflik/Complication
- Penyelesaian konflik/Reorientation

The origin of the city Surabaya
Once
Sura was

upon a time, there were two animals, Sura and Baya.

the name of a shark and Baya was a crocodile. They
dwelled in an ocean. Once Sura and Baya were looking
for
some nourishment. Abruptly, Baya saw a goat.
Yummy, this is my lunch, said Baya. No
way! This is my midday meal. You are
greedy said Sura. Then they battled
for the goat. After several hours, they
were
very
exhausted.
Feeling
exhausted of battling, they lived in the different places. Sura dwelled in
the water and Baya dwelled in the land. The border was the sandy shore,
so they would never battle afresh. One day, Sura went to the land and
looked for some nourishment in the stream. He was very famished and
there was not much nourishment in the sea. Baya was very furious when
he knew that Sura broke the pledge. They fought afresh. They both hit
each other. Sura bit Baya's tail. Baya did the same thing to Sura. He bit
very hard until Sura eventually provided up and A went back to the sea.
Baya was happy.

harus selalu ada pada teks Recount)

MY VERY BUSY DAY
Last Monday was a busy day for me. I spent my time to do a lot of
activities from college to my home.
First, at the morning, I did my presentation's assignment with my
partner, she was Nurhidayah. It took 3 hours. And then we went to the
campus for joining lecture. But, the lecturer said that our presentation
would be started next week. It made us disappointed. The class was
finished at 12.30.
After that, I had to go home because my grandmother was in a bad
condition. She was hospitalized. So, it was a must for me to back home at
that time. When I got there, there were so many members of my family.
There were about 10 people. My aunt, my niece, my uncle and some of
my cousins. We all hoped that our grandmother would get better soon.
Those activities made my day busy.

4. Report
Pengertian
Teks Report hampir sama dengan Descriptive, namun di teks Report ini
lebih memberikan gambaran umum tidak sedetail Descriptive.
Tujuan
Untuk memberikan informasi kepada pembaca mengenai suatu hal apa
adanya, sebagai hasil pengamatan sistematis atau analisis.

About Camel

Camel is a big and strong animal which is normally seen in desert.

Generally, there are two types of camel; Bactrian camel and Arabian
camel. The first type of camel has two humps and the second has one
hump.
Camel can travel in great distances through hot and dry deserts with little
food or water. They can walk easily on the desert.
Camels are trained as means of transportation to carry people and loads
on their backs. They can also serve the people in many other ways.

Once upon a time, there was a local ruler named King Sulahkromo thing.

Sidopekso. Prime Minister 's wife has
named Sri Tanjung. She is so beautiful
and sweet that the king wanted her to
be his wife. One day, the King sent the
Prime Minister for long missions. While
the Prime Minister went, the King tried
to get Sri Tanjung. But the king failed.
He was very angry and upset. So, when Sidopekso back, the King told him
that his wife was unfaithful to him. Prime Minister is very angry with his
wife. Sri Tanjung said that was not true. However, Sidopekso said that he
would kill her. She took him to the river bank.
Before he killed him and threw him into the river, he said that he will be
proven innocent, Once Sidopekso kill him, he threw his body into the river
dirty. River soon became clean and start spreading the wonderful aroma
and very fragrant. Sidopekso said, "... Banyu Wangi... Banyuwangi ". It
means ' fragrant water '. Banyuwangi proof of love born of noble and
sacred. That's the origin of the town of Banyuwangi.
