CONTROLLING ESTABLISHING STANDARDS

SCENE 1:
(setting: office of TM)
TOP MANAGEMENT (TM): (reading reports of previous sales) (through landline) Hello, Ms. (name
of secretary). Please remind the managers of each department about our meeting in an hour.
Thank you.

SCENE 2:
(setting: office for meeting)
(The MM will enter and TM on the last)
TM: Good morning.
MM: Good morning.
TM: I have read the reports and saw some conflicts. May each department manager present their
sales for the month of September?
Financial Manager: For the month of September, we were able to release Php 243,974.90 for the
production of clothes and shoes of our company. This is Php 117,018.15 higher than the released
monetized for the month of August.
TM: Then, how come that there is a higher sales for August when there is a higher amount
funded for September?
Marketing Manager: Even if there was a higher fund, the products that were produced were not
sold and did not meet the goal for September. As you can see, the Legitimas-Balacuit enterprises
became more marketable because of their peak season designed products.
Sales: He/Shes right. The market strategy that we had was inconvincible for the customers.
Hence, we are not able to reach the goal of 10% growth of sales.
HR Manager: Plus, there is no recruitment done yet. So, the employees that are on leave were
not able to help us.
Service Manager: According to researches, the typhoon Ferdie affected the customers budget.
TM: Okay, then. You have to study well and present to me such solutions that will solve this
problem with sales. There would be a meeting, tomorrow at 4:00 p.m.
MM: Yes, maam/sir.
TM: Meeting adjourned.

SCENE 3:
(setting: office of TM)

(studying and providing possible solutions for problem and future problem)
SCENE 4:
(setting: office for meeting)
(the same blockings like scene 2)
TM: Good afternoon.
MM: Good afternoon.
TM: May the presentation of solutions and possible solutions be started?
HR Manager: I have studied that there was a wrong timing for our employees who resigned and
went for leave. And so, to avoid such of these, I would monitor more carefully the schedule of
leave and resignation.
Marketing: The advertising would also be more creative and realistic. Advertisements would be
new and according to the needs of customers. For this month of October, the season would be
Halloween. We would like to focus on stylish designs for the said season.
Sales: Because of the loss of sales, we would like to grow it again with a goal of 15%. This is
through the marketing departments cooperation; wherein, the products would be released
earlier until one week later of the month.
Financial: Our department is prepared for the fund, but we would be stricter in order to restrain
the high loss of money.
Marketing: We also target the customers in the adolescence stage. So that, the demand and
supply of products would be easier.
Sales: These will be sold in a cheaper price.
TM: Very well. For me, the staff should be managed more accordingly, Ms./Mr. (HR Manager). The
recruitment and trainings must be on-going. We have a lot of budget, right?
Financial: Yes, maam/sir.
TM: Ms./Mr. (financial manager) is right about the controlling of fund for the production. This is
also for us to regain the losses due to typhoon Ferdie that also made the sales low. The
marketing department should be planning and organizing by this time the advertisement
strategies to overcome the defeat from our rival, Legitimas-Balacuit enterprises.
Marketing: Yes, maam/sir.
TM: You should also manage the subordinates for promoting the products. Be creative. Any
questions? Suggestions?
MM: None.
TM: If theres none, meeting adjourned.

SCENE 5:
(setting: Marketing Department)
(subordinates)
Marketing: Train the newly trained employees and deploy them in the areas where there were
low sales last month.
SCENE 6:
(setting: outside)
(Promoting products and many customers bought)

SCENE 7:
(setting: office of TM)
Secretary: Ms./Mr. the meeting will start in 30 minutes. The managers of each department were
already there.
TM: Okay, I will go there in a few minutes.

SCENE 8:
(setting: office for meeting)
TM: Good morning.
MM: Good morning, Ms./Mr.
TM: I was greatly surprised with the sales report passed to me yesterday. The objectives and
goals that we had discussed before were met. This is because the goal that we have to increase
which is 15% was not only overcome. The sales that we had were 20% greater than the previous
one. Because the product became marketable for the adolescence and adults, the products
became in-demand. The stylish idea for Halloween was amazing and the cost of it was
reasonable. Also, the employees improved in advertising products through sales talk. In order to
maintain and improve this, we will plan for the future and possible force majeure that may
happen again.
(planning goes on)

SCENE 9:
(setting: office)
(employees seeing who the employee of the month is)
(seeing the growth in sales)

(employees working better)
