Please wipe all data in Recovery mode if you want to update to a discontinuous ROM version, or downgrade

to an older ROM version using MIUI full ROM pack.

This method is not applicable to some Redmi MTK devices due to differences in Recovery interface.

Download the latest MIUI ROM file Download here

Rename the downloaded ROM file to update.zip on the computer.
Connect your device to the Windows PC/laptop via a micro USB cable, and copy the ROM file downloaded and
renamed in Step 1 into the root directory of the internal storage of your device. (Do not put it in any folder)

Enter the Recovery mode of your device. There are 2 methods to do it as follows:
Method 1: Launch Updater app on your device, click the icon at the top-right corner, and select Reboot to
Recovery mode to enter.
Method 2: You can also turn off your device and then hold both Volume+ button and Power button at the same time to
enter Recovery mode.

In Recovery mode, you can use Volume +/- to select up/down, and Power button to confirm.
After entering Recovery mode, choose the language you use, select Install update.zip to System One and confirm,
and then your device will begin updating automatically. Wait until the update is completed, choose Reboot to System
One, and then your device should boot to the new version.

FASTBOOT
Turn off the device. Press the Volume key and the Power button at the same time to enter Fastboot mode. Then
connect the device to the Windows PC/laptop via a micro USB cable

Double click on the downloaded ROM file to decompress it. Open the file folder for the decompressed ROM pack,
and copy its path on the computer.

Decompress the MIUI ROM flashing tool downloaded in Step 1, and double click on it to install (if there is security
warning, select 'Run'). After installation is completed, open MiFlash.exe and paste into the address bar the ROM file
folder path copied in the last step.
Click on the first button (circled out in yellow) to Refresh, and MiFlash should automatically recognize the device.
Then click the second button (circled out in red) to flash the ROM file to the device.

Wait until the progress bar inside MiFlash turns fully green, which means the ROM has been successfully installed.
Then your device should automatically boot to the new version.

FASTBOOT 2
Steps:1. Download ROM from the above link (Which Oneyou Want to Flash) and
extract it to Desktop.
Note: - Some users get error while extracting onDesktop Because there is
space in the username of PC or the folder as shown.
The users should put the ROM In C Drive in a folder without spaces. E,g
C:/ROM/MIUI
The Error shown when using space between foldername

2. Download flashing tool from the above link and install it.
3. Once installation is complete, Run MiFlash application

4. Click on browse

5. Select ROM folder from Desktop(From the location where ROM is saved)

Note: -The path of the ROM folder Should be like

"C:\Users\Muzamil\Desktop\MIUI"
Not"C:\Users\Muzamil\Desktop\MIUI\images"
The MIUI Rom folder should Contain the following files

6. Turn off the phone, press the Volume Down keyand the Power button at
the same time to enter Fastboot mode, then connect the phone to a
computer.

7. Press Refresh button to see you device in flashing tool.

After pressing refresh button you will see connected device.

Here You have 3 options to select.

Choose the options carefully as per your need:1. Flash_all:- Clears all the data of the built-in storage, clear all user data,
please be careful!(Clean Install)
2. Flash_all_except_storaget:- Will erase all user data does not clear the builtin storage data.
3. Flash_all_except_data_storage:- Does not clear the built-in storage data
does not clear user data
Note:- It is advised to take all personal data backup on PC/Laptop

8. Click on Flash and it will start process

9. Once flashing process completes

Device will automatically reboot. Reboot might take upto 5 minutes.
