Multiple Terminals in One Rack

It is possible to install two or more terminals in

one frame. The frame can have maximum four
WG runs this can be four individual directions or
it can be either two directions with dual
polarization or two directions with Space
Diversity.
The maximum number of XCVRs in one frame is
ten. The IFU shelves can occupy six 1U slots.
This means that the largest combination on IFU
is one 4 IFU shelf + one 2 IFU shelf.

All METRO split mount configurations can also be made as indoor terminals with RF-channel branching. The
example above shows traffic nodes using DXC unit or Frame to add/drop in METRO Long Haul configuration

7+1 Add/Drop Site

This example shows a site with two 7+1 terminals. One or two DXC Frames can be included and each
of the DXCs can connect to two of the channels in the terminal. STM-1/OC-3 LIU cards must be
included for all channels and they must be connected with cables.
