Novels are often used as the source material for film and television; however fans are often critical of how
their favorite stories are interpreted on screen. In your essay, you will determine if the film version of The
Call of the Wild is an effective adaptation of the novel. Support your claim with evidence from the novel.
Examine the elements of fiction to determine if the movie accurately translates the theme of the novel.
Your essay will be five paragraphs long with an introduction paragraph summarizing the story and
