Lesson A: Hello and Goodbye.
Beginning: Students brainstorm ways to say hello and
good-bye in English (their answers are written on the
board). The teacher explains and adds other structures
that students might not have said.
Development: Students listen and read the dialogues on

complete the sentences in exercise 1B. They read their
answers out aloud.
Students are given names of different famous people in
order to introduce themselves as if they were those actors
or singers. They work in pairs in order to create a short
dialogue saying hello and introducing themselves using
the structures they previously learnt. They share their
work with their classmates.
Finally, students listen to some conversations and check
the responses they hear (Page 3, students book).
