The objective of the XI Team in the project is to integrate the Magellanns SAP systems with their
30 partners. There are 120 interfaces including both inbound and outbound scenarios for
exchanging the business documents like Purchase Orders, Advanced Shipment Notification,
Invoice, etc.
The communication protocol used is http. The Seeburger Adapter has a module chain which
performs the conversion of EDI-XML EDI or vice versa.

The message is converted from one format to the other (i.e In the inbound scenario: EDI-XML
Idoc and Outbound scenario: IDocEDI-XML) using the XI Mapping tool inside Integration
server.
