Holy Father invites all Catholics to contribute to a special collection for Missio, his official charity
for overseas mission. Your prayers and donations today will support the work of missionaries,
like those in Rwanda, as they share Gods mercy and love with those who are suffering. The
World Mission Sunday collection will support mission projects worldwide that bring Gods love
and the Gospel message of dignity for all. Please give what you can.
DECEASED Please pray for Anita Malone RIP who died recently, her Funeral Service will be
held at Slough Crematorium on Monday, 24th October at 3.00pm. May her soul and the souls of
all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen

HOLY SOULS ENVELOPES These are now available in the Church porches. Please write the
names of your dear ones and put in the envelope with your offering. The envelopes can be returned
with the usual collection or put them through the letter box at the Presbytery. Your dear ones will be
remembered at all the Masses for the Holy Souls offered during November.
BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE As in previous years, the Book of Remembrance will be kept in the
Blessed Sacrament Chapel during November. Please leave the names of any relatives and friends
you wish to be entered in the Book of Remembrance by Friday, 28th October, for the book to be
ready for the 1st November. Kindly print the names clearly if the names have already been
entered there is no need to enter them again. Please return names to the Presbytery.

PARISH MASS COUNT Week four of the annual Parish Mass count.
CONGRATULATIONS to Pearl Rose Fiona Hill, who will be Baptised on Saturday, 29th October.
Please pray for her parents, grandparents and Godparents.
THANKS FROM MARY MC CARTHY I would like to say a big Thank You to all parishioners of
Our Lady of Peace for their support last weekend. We raised 476. A special Thank You to all
the people who gave many generous donations, I was really moved. You have made a lot of
children happy. Thank you again and may God bless you.
FEAST OF ALL SAINTS Tuesday, 1st November the Church celebrates the Feast of All Saints
(in old English 'All Hallows' - from which the term 'Halloween' originates - the Eve of All Hallows).
The Feast honours the triumph of God's grace in the lives of all those who are now in heaven.
ALL SOULS DAY is celebrated on the following day, Wednesday, 2nd November. Here we pray
for all who have died in Gods grace and friendship, but may still need our prayers as they
prepare to enter into the fullness of heaven. This is why we pray and offer Masses for our
deceased relatives and friends during the month of November in particular.
DONATIONS OF FOREIGN COINS After your Summer holidays if you have returned with any
foreign coins which you do not want to keep until your next holiday, we would welcome any coins
or notes. Old coins are also useful to us eg old decimal and pre-decimal UK money and
European Francs, Deutschmarks, Punts etc. Please leave in the Sacristy marked Foreign
coins, or give to Yvonne or Denise.
REJOICE IN MOTHERHOOD : MOTHERS PRAYERS For Mothers who wish to pray together
for their children and grandchildren - Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunties! Please come and join us
as we pray for our children, Our Lady of Peace Church at 10.30am (as normal) or at 7.00pm on
Thursday, 27th October.. Please not for those unable to attend the regular 10.30am Thursday
meetings, once a month there will be an evening meeting at 7.00pm. All Christian faiths
welcome. For further information please speak to Denise or Kate.

SPIRIT AND LIGHT WORSHIP Evening with Prayer, Praise and Worship at St Andrews, on
Friday, 28th October, in the Glorious Presence of Our Lord Jesus at 7.30pm. With Streams of
powerful anointing, the evening will be led by Fr Simon and will begin with a teaching and a

NORTHAMPTON CATHEDRAL MASS celebrating Women, Mothers and Families in this Year
of Mercy. Saturday, 29th October at 12 noon. Celebrant Bishop Peter. Everyone welcome.
ADORATION There will be an extended Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Monday, 31st
October from 7.00pm to midnight at Our Lady of Peace. Pope Francis has stressed that "In this
world, we need profound conversion and an urgent revival of faith in Christ". All welcome to join
us in prayer for the Holy Fathers intention.
VOCATIONS WEEKEND at Northampton Cathedral 4th 6th November. Come follow me and I
will make you Fishers of Men. Is the Lord calling you to the Priesthood? For more information

CAFOD MASSES OF REMEMBRANCE. 6th November. You are warmly invited to attend a CAFOD
Memorial Mass This year we have two venues where the Memorial Masses will be held, both on the
same day :10:30am Sacred Heart Church, 5 Beaudesert, Leighton Buzzard, LU7 1HZ.
11am Corpus Christi, 88 Wharton Road, Headington, Oxford OX3 8AJ. These will be the regular
weekend Masses of the parish. However our Book of Remembrance will be included as part of the
offertory procession and prayers will be offered in memory of all CAFOD supporters who have passed
away. Refreshments will be served in the hall after both the Masses. If you would like the name of a
loved one to be included in the Book of Remembrance, please let them know
via northampton@cafod.org.uk or 01844 274 723 by 1st November.

DIVINE MERCY PILGRIMAGE to the Shrine of Our Lady Knock from 7th 11th November
praying for the Holy Souls. Cost 400 includes return flights Gatwick to Knock, half board, hand

ST VINCENT DE PAUL AND THE CATHOLIC WOMENS LEAGUE invite you to a celebration
of Mass with the sacramental anointing of the sick at St Andrews on Saturday, 26th November at
2.00pm. This will be followed by a tea party. Transport can be arranged, if required please
