Speed

Investigation

The procedure and scientific steps of the investigation

Investigate scientifically the effect of the difference in the value of students speed on the time he spends in returning back

Before you start the investigation, revise the following information and fill in the gaps:
The question

What is the effect of the difference in the value of students speed on the time he spends in returning back

The prediction

The the value of students speed, The the time he spends in returning back

Hypotheses

Resources and
equipment

A constant track for students race the playground measuring tape trundle wheel stop watch

To study the effect of the difference in the value of students speed on the time he spends in returning

Follow the these steps

1- Each group should read the steps of the whole experiment then write their hypotheses.
2- Each group cooperate in measuring width of the playground in straight line 3 times.
3- The 1st student is assigned to: write down the measurements data in the tables.

The
procedure

4- The 2nd student is assigned to: run to the end of the playground and come back.
5- The 3rd student is assigned to: measure the time spent in running and the first student register the timing.

The
Investigation
Steps

6- The 4th student is assigned to: calculate the average timing then the speed of each student in cooperation with the
1st student and register them.
7- The student runs for two more times and the time is registered and both the average time and speed are calculated.
8- The students repeat steps from 2 to 7 when the second, third and fourth students run.
