    Making Slime

    Warning:
    Although the slime can be handled,
    do not touch your mouth or eye
    after handling it.
    Wash your hands after handling the
    slime.
    Aim: To make an addition polymer slime
    Materials:
    100ml Beaker
    25ml polyvinyl alcohol
    5ml 4% borax solution
    Food Dye/Glitter
    Method:
    1.
    Measure out the 25ml of polyvinyl
    alcohol and pour into the beaker
    2.
    Add a few drops of either food
    dye or glitter into the beaker
    3.
    Measure out the 5ml of borax
    solution and mix this into the beaker
    4.
    Wait for the slime to appear

    Questions:
    1.
    Explain the appearance of the
    polyvinyl alcohol and borax solution
    before they have been mixed.
    2.
    Explain the appearance of the
    new mixture.
