Instant Activity:
Hello class I hope we are all doing well.
Today we are going to get started with a
quick activity okay. I need everyone to
stand up and line up hot dog style, ready
set go! I need everyone in a line to get
started, okay the activity we are going to
do is similar to sharks and minos, but the
only difference is that instead of just
saying Go and having everyone run,
the people in the middle are going to
choose who they want to capture and
who they want to have a free walk. For
example, Those who are wearing white
shoes will have a free walk from one
side to the other while the rest have to
run across.

Set Induction:
Okay class lets get started. Today we are
going to be working on basketball but to
be more specific we are going to work on
our dribble. Each one you will pair up
with a classmate, and those who have an
odd number thats okay you can form a
group of 3. You and your partner will
have a chance to dribble using both
hands. One partner will go first and
dribble the basketball with their right
hand while the other partner is dribbling
a tennis ball or smaller ball. After 30
seconds you will then switch hands and
dribble. After another 30 seconds you
will then switch basketballs and tennis

task
Dribbling: Bounce the
basketball using your five
finger, and after every bounce
take steps.

Questions to Check Understanding

Do we dribble using both hands? No!
Do we throw the basketball to our
partner? No!

Common Errors Task 2:

1. Some students might want
to just grab the basketball to
get to the cone asap.
2. Some students hands might
be too small for the basketball
and thus making it harder to
dribble.

Adaptations
Easier: Keep eyes on the ball and baby
steps. Can grab the basketball with two
hands if needed.
Harder: use opposite hand and eyes
forward. Dont use two hands.

CLOSURE:
Thank you all for participating today.
You all did an amazing job with
dribbling. Can someone with a quiet
hand tell me how to dribble? Good! Now
with another quiet hand, why is it
important to exercise and work on our
dribbling? Awesome thank you. So, for
Thursday we are going to continue to
work on our dribbling so come prepared
okay. Bring it in, Tiger pride on 3.
